Recently, I've found myself attracted to women that are somewhat older than me. It's been a trend over the last couple years. I'm finding women in their mid thirties to be so much more appealing than women my own age, which is 24. I think it's because I’ve developed good friendships with several women of that age, through work and social circles. I have yet to date anyone much older me though; although I want to.

Does anyone have any similar thoughts or experiences? What was it like? Did problems develop due to the age difference? Any advice?

My wife is seven years older than me and we're happy (no, it's not pinkie). The difference was never an issue and the only time it's mentioned is when her friends give her high-fives... ;)

If I were single right now I'd definitely try to go for an older woman (i.e. late-20s to mid-30s) because older women often know what they want and are more in touch with their sexuality. The drawback with older women though may be that the biological clock is ticking so they might be looking for someone to settle down with and start having kids.

I turned 28 this summer. Last weekend I hooked up with a girl at a huge kegger party at a friend's house. I swear I thought she was about 32 to 34. At least four friends at the party also guessed her age to be around 34. After fucking around 12 times in a 48 hour period she tells me she has to confess her age to me... FORTY-FOUR.

Ever since I was a kid, I had always been mentally attracted to older girls, but more physically attracted to those younger than me (not like creepy younger, just a few years). Only a few women that I have ever met have made me both want to sleep with them and be their best friends.

The age and maturity thing is all relative. All of my female buddies are a couple years older than me. Most of the girls that I've spent one night with have been younger. Not to say that I've only slept with younger ladies - but just on average. My point is age may just seem like a number, but it has a lot of influence on your dating and relationship habits.

I'm attracted to people that are relatively older than me, and I'm only 18. hell, I'd date as high as 30-35 if the situation was right. But I do find, and would certainly consider, dating women a year or even maybe two younger than me- depending on the person

I don't think it's uncommon at all to feel attracted to those closer to your own maturity level, in the city where I live the average maturity of others my own age is just sadistically low, meeting girls who aren't still walking around with a dominantly high school mentality is difficult, I've always been attracted to older women, and thankfully they reciprocate.

I'm in a 7 year older older than me relationship, as a matter of fact, I proposed and she accepted within the past week.
And it's not my first, and I swear I wouldn't do it again, but she's great.

As far as sexual relations go, I prefer the older women. I'm 27, and I have a few women that I keep in touch with sexually. One is 51 and looks 41, and is good in bed, and the other is 57, looks younger than that, and is insatiable in the sack. Most of my "girlfriends" are 35+, and it's all great. Even my wife is older than I am. Not by much, but that just shows the way I like it.
