now, Im sure that we all know that there is some really "out there" stuff in the porn world. my question is this:

Assuming that most of the really strange stuff is thought up by men (which may or may not be true, but I tend to think it is), then the question is who is sicker/stranger/weirder, the men who think the stuff up or the women who do it on camera?

Men are definitely sicker. Any porn where the girl is crying or throwing up kinda proves that.

Here's another way to look at that. Nobody ever "thought up" a porn subgenre. It's not like somebody sitting in an office in the Valley had a lightbulb go on one day and thought, "Hey, I know! I'll make midget-amputee-keyring-whiteboard-stringcheese porn!"

For every porn subgenre, there's a category of fetishist in the world who buys it. Pornographers aren't stupid--they don't make stuff that doesn't have a market.

So I add to the mix: Who's sicker, the man who makes the porn, the woman who performs it, or the guy who buys it?

The buyer/watcher of porn becomes trapped in a cycle of fake intimacy... pretty much like an addiction.

I think the performer becomes financially dependant on the income she/he receives... again, kinda like an addiction.

Now, the producer... hmm. He's just sitin' back makin' a heavy profit. My mother has met people in the business (though she didn't partake;)). She's said there's tons of money in it for the producers and sellers.

So, I guess my answer would be the producers - they're the one profitin' from every one in the industries "misfortune".

Yeah, because people become whores (real whores) by choice. You're sick if you're addicted to coke and need to pay for it by whoring, or starring in nasty porn, but the addiction is your disease. People like that need to be helped, not looked down upon. The guys who go out of their way to find girls like that and exploit them are the problem.

Take for example the first pornstar that got aids from Darren James, Lara Roxx. Her story is a little messed up. It was her first movie. According to her, while she was there, they changed it to DA when she showed up to do the scene. And the male performers obviously hadn't been tested for disease. Now you'll tell me it's her fault for letting them do that. But when you've just paid for a plane flight from LA to Canada, and don't know any better, you'll say yes. The female performers might be dumb, but the producers can be downright evil.

I saw a website at work the other day that was all about women (fully clothed) brushing their hair.

I've also, however, come across websites with men who get off at girls playing in shit.

SO, I think it's not the specific KIND of porn that makes it the sickest, but the people themselves who DO get trapped in that 'fake intimacy' that was mentioned earlier (I don't see exactly how intimate playing in shit can be though).

Personally I'm not a huge fan of porn. I know, admin on a "porn" board. But I'm not.

It has its place. I've used it in darker times. But it's not a substitution for a healthy relationship. I think it signals a... problem.

The odder stuff signals a more significant problem.

The performer. I mean a guy holding a cam isnt' eating shit or sucking a dog's cock, the girl or guy doing it is. Assuming they aren't being forced to do this, they have chosen to get paid to do this on camera, to perform a vile sex act. Keep in mind I say vile without personal judgment, as I find beastiliaty fascinating and uplifting in a personal (not sexual) way, knowing there are ppl out there who do this sick shit makes me realize, yes, even I can get laid.

But without force, the performer is the sickest. The buyer is buying fantasy, but may never indulge in such acts or may just, like myself, be attracted to it just as I am attracted to grotesque murder and injury pics. I don't buy them, I don't use them for sexual purpose, I don't go out and kill ppl after viewing them, so I don't believe a person viewing these materials is guilty of anything, in fact may be repressing sexual fetishes they are unable or unwilling to flesh out. No, this does not apply to me. ;)

the guys who think of it. money is a powerful force. i mean, shit, any of us would lower our standards for a while for the right price.
