I think I did something stupid
Tonight I was spending some time with my girlfriend, and we got to fooling around and clothes came off. She kept hinting at having sex, and I told her I didn't have a condom. She still hinted, and I stuck the first two inches or so of my penis inside her. I only did it for a second or two, but I realize there was most likely precum on my tip. I'm planning on getting her an EC pill on monday, but in the meantime I'm a little worried. Should I be?
If anyone can offer any information on fertilization cycles, pregnancy, or just general "you're a dumb fuck" comments, they would be appreciated |

That's what she said

well, i'm not an expert on cycles or anything so i'm not gonna give you info that could be wrong...
however, you did make a mistake... you know this... and you're doing what you can to resolve the issue. if i were you i'd simply try to not worry about it anymore b/c there's not much more you can do about it until you get confirmation one way or another. what you should do is help calm your girlfriend, plan better in the future, and learn from this experience. perhaps it's time for your girlfriend to be put on some type of birth control? talk to her about it and have her talk to her doctor and parents. sounds like it could be a very wise investment. |

Sure she still could get pregnant from a little bit of precum but I'm pretty sure that you guys will be ok, I think the odds are pretty low, although not gone completely.
Hopefully this will work out for the best for you guys. Nothing worse than worrying about knocking someone up. Maybe now she'll listen when you tell her you don't have a rubber, and give you some time to go get one, and get it on before you get it on.... It takes less time then 9 months, and it's cheaper too!!! I know how you feel man, I'm not gonna call you a dumb ass at all. Best of Luck

D'oh!
Happens to the best of us; but if we are lucky, it doesn't happen at all. *Phew* Man, how controlled were you!!! Just go it in, then bailed!?!! Good for you. The fear of babies is a powerful thing Do you have a family planning or someting to go to? They will give you a perscription for loads of condoms. I would only worry if you don't like this girl enough to possibly father children with her. Then you have some thinking to do weather it's a good idea or not. |

It's really a shame that the Morning After Pill's chance at becoming over-the-counter was recently shot down by one man within the FDA. In cases like these, Planned Parenthood(as a primary source for access to the pill) is often closed on Sunday which makes for one extra day of unnecessary waiting. Although it's shown to be effective up to 72 hours after intercourse, sooner is always better than later.

Will they allow me to go to planned parenthood and pick up the EC pill for her? She can't drive in cities, and has to work tomorrow.

i really don't think they will. i'm pretty sure it involves a basic medical check-up just to make sure she's not going to be negatively affected by the pill, but i could be wrong. look up their number and give them a call, work it out through them and see what they can do for you.
good luck. quick edit: here is a listing of the planned parenthood offices around your (last reported) area

Yeah, I think she's going to have to go get the pill herself.
You know you were dumb so I'll skip the lecture, but don't do that again! Keep a condom on hand, or discuss her going on the pill or something. It's not far from "oops" to "you're a daddy!"

Very unlikely that she will get pregnant like that...since the withdrawl method is about 70% effective..and thats gonna get a lot of precum up in there. And you were only in there for a small fraction of time. I'd say don't worry. She will have to get an exam before they will give her any type of pills. But it will be well worth it. No more worrying

I really want to thank you all. People on this forum are truly great. Phred for example, went out of his way and searched for planned parenthood clinics for me, a complete stranger. Thank you

Good luck, man. Hopefully nothing bad will come out of this.
It's a scary situation to be in! (I've done the EXACT same thing more times than I care to admit). And, yeah, technically she could get pregnant. And technically, it's not smart. But to be honest, anymore I usually have sex for a few minutes at least before I grab a condom. Of course, until recently it was always with the same girl, and she was on the pill...but the other day I was with someone for the first time, and we didn't bother to grab a rubber until we'd been going at it for about 5 minutes (and to be totally honest, I only grabbed it then so that I could last). The smart thing is to use condoms and/or the pill...but in reality, there's more people using the "pull and pray" than care to fess up. (myself often included)

Off Topic Rant
Are ya a damn fool, son? Were you taught nothing of disease in Sex Ed growing up? Does your future health mean nothing to you? Good Gawd, son, condoms protect you not only from unwanted babies, but also unwanted diseases that could quite possibly kill you. Especially if it's with someone new. Quote:

What I did wasn't smart, and I definitely don't recommend it! But, it did happen, and there's nothing I can do to change it now. I should probably also mention that it was the first (and only) time that I've done that with someone new. The previous 3.5 years had been with the same person (a monogomous relationship in which I didn't have to worry about that sorta thing). Had I been actually planning on penetration (it kinda just "happened" you could say), I would have probably thought a little harder about using a condom. Regardless, it's usually best to NOT follow my lead. I do/did a lot of dumb things, but I've been lucky so far (not just with this, but smoking--i smoked heavily until I quit about a month and a half ago--, dragracing, and pretty much every other risky activity that I've participated in). So yeah, I'm probably just an accident waiting to happen.

You're welcome. I made the mistake and now have a beautiful baby girl, but it was completely unplanned. If someone else out there can avoid that situation until they're ready for it, then things will be a little better in the world.

she can check her cycle.....
2 weeks after her period is usually when she is most fertile.....14 days exactly for some women whereas others vary if she prolly wasnt fertile then, then you're ok. but yeah they wont let you pick it up for her......she'll need to be there, you should look into some birth control...it works wonders good luck

to get the pill they just need to talk to her, none of that physical examination stuff... so you may be able to get it for her... if you explain the situation. i wouldn't count on it though. also, if it was only for a few seconds, the chances are pretty small, but it's always better to be safe than sorry (i sound like a mom don't i?) and as ariel kitten says, 14 days after her period is when she is ovulating, so with that said, just hope it wasn't during that time period. good luck to you both.
