birth control process
So is getting birth control something that can be done with one trip? Or is this gonna take a while? My gf lives 2 hours away and I don't have many opportunities to accompany her. So I want to get as much done in one visit as possible. We are planning to go to planned parenthood.

Usually, it is just necessary for her to go. If she prefers pills, she can get a prescription. If she prefers the depo shot, she has to revisit every 12 weeks, I believe. It all depends on her preference of method.
No matter what, it is always wise for her to have regular checkups. |

If she is going to a docs office she can do it in one visit. She simply asks for a prescription of birth control and the doctor gives it to her. I would assume the planned parenthood place works much in the same way.

They'll probably want you to read some lit. on the shot when you go in, but there shouldn't be a reason why you can't get it the same day.
