I think a question you have to ask yourself is, would YOU date someone who is 5'9" and 280lbs?

Honestly, I have about zero percent success rate, but I am really picky. What you must understand is that you must have your own life before anyone will date you. No one wants someone who is just going to tag along and leech happiness off of them, ESPECIALLY girls.

So I would suggest that you figure out what you like to do and make your own life. Girls are secondary.

A better question would have been, "Have any of you dated someone 5'9" and 280 lbs".

If the answer to the question you asked was no, but the answer no did not fit their own self image, more than likely they wouldn't even realize the answer was no, and would simply answer yes.

If you want to know how people behave, don't ask how they think they would behave.

A good short answer would be, right now the easiest way you have to make yourself more attractive to more women (ie, on average) is to lose weight. So, be lazy: lose weight.
