Vibrator for starters?
My gf has talked about wanting a vibrator...we have a lot of phone sex in our long distance relationship so seems like a good idea...
Can anyone suggest a simple small sleek battery opperated unit that is not too expensive? Im lookin for quality or a brand or something we can trust? |
Check this site out.
A vibrator is a very personal thing. And unfortunatly you can't try them out before you buy them. |
are you gonna mail it to her, you are probably better off giving her a online gift certificate to a place and let her pick it out.
What you think is an appropriate sized Dildo or Vibrator, might not be what she thinks is an appropriate size |
I'm in the same situation with my girlfriend for a few months out of the year, so we got a Fukuoku 9000
She says she loves it. Its inexpensive and private. |
I had gotten my ex the waterproof vibrator. Had variable speed, and she could use it in the shower or wherever. She LOVED using it for phone sex, but the "rabbit" style vibrators are also very popular and work extremely well. The want style vibrators are also very popular and have gotten very good reviews. If you check out this site, they are reasonably priced and show user-submitted reviews for each of their products.

Well i see her about every month for a weekend so im gonna get it and surprise her. She always wants clitoral stimulation so i was thinkin of gettin her somethin like the fukokou, but i want something that uses common batterys rather then little watch batteries...
|
The fukokou is great. The good ol' fashion Pocket Rocket is also very good and is a bit more powerfull than the fukokou and it take normal AA batteries. Those are both generally for clitoral stimulation
|
Famous vibrators like the Rabbit from Sex in the City are overrated, especially because we're all so different when it comes to stimulation.
If she's a clit AND G-spot woman, try something in hard plastic that curls up a little at the end. Smaller/medium-sized ones will do (too big can be painful with hard plastic). Waterproofing and variable speeds are bonus. Also, remember: if it vibrates intensely enough, it neither matters what shape, size or material it is nor what kind of stimulation she usually responds to the most - enough of an earthquake in that hemisphere can make any woman orgasm. When in doubt, the toy that vibrates the most is least likely to steer you wrong. |
Anything you guys reccomend in particular, seems like theres a bunch of no-name vibrators out there, anything i can look for that is quality?
|
For a first vibrator I think it's best to go with something fairly innocuous-- the fukokou is probably a good choice -- though i've heard that it's pretty tame vibration wise.. and obviously there is no possibility for penetration. Why not try something like this:

I dont think any brand name is really going to have a stand out reputation for quality, by the nature of what they are they are always going to be considered a bit taboo.
I should imagine that mechanically, they are very simple, I would have throught most things you could buy would be up to the job. |

Go visit my buddies at Blowfish. I'm not associated with the company, just a REAL happy customer. http://www.blowfish.com. Hundreds of vibrators to choose from. Good Vibrations (http://www.goodvibes.com) is supposed to be good too, though I've never shopped from them. Both are in San Francisco. Go fig. I recommend a Bullet or Egg-shaped vibe to start with. Not all vibrators are meant for insertion--in fact, it's been said that most women don't insert them at all. She can "graduate" to something more phallic later if she wants. |
My advise would be just get something that it is a reasonable size, I mean not like one of those 14 inch bastards, cos that's not going to be any good. I remember a article I read about one once, it was kind of shaped like an L, I dunno... I'll check out that site and maybe t'll be there...

OK, I looked, and this is the bad boy I think you should buy:

I was surprised to see links to Good Vibes, but no mention of their Info Desk which has articles for first-time buyers/users.
There is a section of vibrator-related links, which includes excerpts from their published book about vibrators. http://www.goodvibes.com/cgi-bin/sgd...nfo/index.html |
I read around the net a bit, and i found this:
http://www.natural-contours.com/prod...=1183&pc=petit I ordered the natural contours petite, It has variable speed, meant for the clit/frontal area, and dosent look like an obvious vibrator (she lives at home)....yeh, i hope she likes it :) |
