Things you wish you didn't know...
 

...about your significant other, ex, or just anyone.

I recently learned that my girfriend sleft with a guy about 7 years her senior several years ago...

...she's only 18.

I know I shouldn't dwell on these things, and I don't.

We all have crap in our past, it's just interesting how these things will reoccur to you at certain times and affect your opinion of someone.

how many years ago did she sleep with him? sounds a little like statutory rape to me.

It wasn't...she was 15 or so. She admitted that she was "teasing" him and knowing her that means everything short of orgasm or sex.

But enough about me...more about you.

How does she view the relationship? Negatively or positively? And do you think less of her for doing it or does it just freak you out?

for me I had an ex-gf who had 32 sex partners in her lifetime at 24. I wasn't turned off, I was jealous. :O

I know my wife went home after we had been dating 3 months and basically kissed a guy she had been dating before me but had broke up with. We had just said I love you to each other, and she said later that it was just to find out if she knew what she was feeling was real. She was 21, so I don't blame her, but I kind of wish I had never known about it.

I wish I hadn't found out about the girls my bf slept with when we were broken up. Wouldn't bother me as much if they were girls I didn't know, but I knew them, and one was a good friend (so i thought).

I wish I never found out that my now ex was a cheating hoe bag.... but in a way, I'm glad because if I had never found out I may have never met the girl I'm falling in love with now.. :)

I didn't get married 'till late, so both I and the women I went with all had a lot of experience under our belts. And so I know for sure that after awhile, everybody's got history, everybody's done things they probably shouldn't have, everybody's got blind spots. The real point is whether, at this point in time, they've learned from all that and got beyond it.
At 18, say, maybe not yet. But some people do grow up when young.

Well...the girl I had my first time with. Won't say it was a girlfriend, things were pretty informal from the start. She was sleeping with another guy, started things up with him just a bit before me. Didn't tell me at the time of course. I guess the single life after a long relationship does that to folks. Word of caution though. She's now pregnant from Other-Guy. Only 19, not yet done high school, and she wants to keep it. I feel bad, but what's a guy to do?

That my dad has cheated on my mom for at least 3 years and continues to do it :-(

Along those lines, I really, really wish I had never found out about my ex girlfriends indiscretions (before we started going out).

I suppose it shouldn't have, but it bugged me while we were going out.

I wish I never knew my (recently) ex-girlfriend went skinny dipping in front of our male and female friends with cameras.

i dated a girl from the video store once, long time ago, i wish she would have told me sooner than after a month, that she had another job at the 'Deja Vu' (strip club, for those who don't know).
kinda made it hard to see her after a while.

For me if it's from the S-O's past it's from the past. I like hearing about things and enjoying the life that she's had so it doesn't really bother me. After all I've had a life too and it's nice to be able to share things openly. I think if it's something that's going to bother you then don't ask about it and make it clear you'd prefer not to hear about it. *shrug* I guess that works as long as it's an item that's from her past past and not her past since she's been with me. :p

Not so much things I wish I didn't know as things I wish hadn't happened. That's for another thread.

I'm not real hip on the fact that my SO holds on to photos/poems/gifts/letters from/about previous girlfriends. The past should be the past, but when I occasionally get confronted by these things, I can't help but think that he wishes those women were still in his life. Truthfully, they dredge up insecurities which would be eliminated if the items were tossed. Live in the present, so to speak. :(

i was dating this girl once who happened to have sex photos of all the guys she'd been with. wish i never found them, it took forever to go through them all.

Whenever the topic of the "good ole days" comes up between my girlfriend and I, its rather painful for me. Part of it is that I wish we would do some of the wild and crazy things she talks about. The other half is that I know the guy most of these crazy things happened with.

I wish I could just get over it.

my ex got with more than 10 guys her freshman year in high school, that sort of turned me off

That the girl I had my first time with was a whore. I learned it from other girls, not your best pick me up, especially when you think it's gonna be special...oh well you live and learn

I wish I didn't know that my ex had slept with a couple guys while I was with her...so much lost sleep over that one.

Same exact situation for me... and I'm happy now too, so whatever :)

I wish I hadn't found out about all the corrupt things my grandfather did to make his fortune. Makes you look at them in a different light.

My boyfriend once went up to a college with one of his high school buddies- they were both hs seniors- because the buddy wanted to meet some girl he had been talking to on the internet. My boyfriend ended up hooking up with her and never talking to her again.

I don't know why it bothers me, but it really does, and I wish I hadn't ever heard about it.

I wish I never learned that one of my ex's hid a speed habit from me and eventual had a miscarriage because the speed was more important to her than the life growing inside her.

My girlfriend almost flipped out when she found out that I had hooked up with the girl who intruduced us prior to our getting together....

Mind you that this other girl and I hooked up the year before my girlfriend came to college, so neither of us knew her (my girlfriend) at the time. When I started dating my girlfriend, the other girl and I agreed not to tell my girlfriend because we figured she wouldn't be able to handle it.

No my girlfriend hates that other girl with a passion even though she technically didn't do anything wrong, and the few times we had sex occured several months before my girlfriend and I even got together.

Yeah the ol' finding that your first time had slept with every other guy in the dorm at some point before or after your one-night of fun.

Or worse yet after you were with her, later that night she was with someone else...

After nosing around I found out some things about my SO's sexual past. It was none of my business and I wish I had just left things alone. I'm pretty much over it but from time to time images creep into my mind. I learned an important lesson. Some things we just don't need to know even if we think we do. The only sex history you need is "do you have any STDs" and "Do you have any children I need to know about." Further than that, ignorance is bliss.

It may not make any difference. If she is legally incapable of giving consent, it still could be statutory rape.

my boy friend had 7 sex parteners before me and now i live with him he told me he has had the bed that we both sleep on since he was in high school and thats when he was having sex with those girls so thats gross and he has pictures of all his ex's and him.
I also learned that one night i was going to give him head and he said no because he has cheese dick cause he did not wash his penis after we had sex so it had dried sex juices and stuff on it and that was so gross that word is nasty it grosses me out when i hear it to this day

I have no idea what qtpye tried to say there, but I wish I didn't know how much work goes into her maintenence that makes her vagina so visually appealing, it makes me feel like I'm tampering with art or something.

I have a great idea, why don't you get the pictures from your friends and post them in the exhibition forum? That'll teach her. ;)
