Clit Hood Piercing.
My wife recently has talked about getting one, but she was worried since the had read that after about a year, you can lose sensitivity in the clit? Now, I WANT her to get one as much as she WANTS to get one, but this scares her, and frankly, if that is somthing that could happen, I don't want to happen, not for my sake, but hers.
Anyone had theirs any length of time, and had any "ill-effects?" |
You know that, this is about the same conversation, me and subby have had, and it boils on to get stopping to over analyzing it and gong to do it. Make it a fun and playful time before you go...So get yourselves in the mood, pick a day and go for it...It will be a blast. You never know you, as the hubby could always get a piercing yourself and feel her pain. Good luck!

Well, if it's a clit HOOD peircing, then I wouldn't really worry about the actual clit going numb... but I've had a few (drinks), so I may not know what I'm talking about.... :)

Might I recommend the apadravya.
Goodness gracious me this bad boy is a very worthy investment. |
Hood piercings can actually increase the sensitivity.
As for actual through-the-clit piercings, I was told a funny story once. I'm bad at telling stories so be warned. So there's this girl and she wants a clit piercing. She and my friend go into a parlor to get it done. The piercer sits her down and gets started, as he puts the needle up to her clit and starts to add pressure, she has an orgasm and passes out. They revive her with some ammonia and ask her if she wants to continue. She says yes, so the piercer gives it another go. By the time he gets about halfway through her clit, she orgasms violently and passes out again. They revive her again and she says to continue. They finish piercing her, but as she moves to get up out of the chair she orgasms and passes out. They wait for her to come to on her own and my friend tells her she's not allowed to stay pierced 'cause she won't be able to function in society with it in. |
I wouldnt recomend it myself, it sounds dangerous, what if it gets caught on something? Maybe she could get a second set of piercings in her ear instead?

hood peircings do not affect the clit. they cane be very stimulating. a vertical peircing with a small barbell rocks. the bottom ball of the barbell rests on the clit under the hood. the top ball is outside and visible. you can use the top ball kinda like a little joy stick. my wife has one, i speak from experience. touch a vibrater to that top ball, it sends those vibs straight to the clit.

Man if my wife asked, i'd say go for it!

I pierced my nipple, and it became more sensitive. BUT I'd be scared to pierce my clit---I have two nipples, and only one of those very precious nubs.
Thought about it, then thought better of it. |
My friends wife had her hood done, and she was having orgasms right away (trying to or not). There isn't much risk of losing sensitivity when its in the hood. That was a ferw years back and as far as I know...no problems.

a pic would help

Anyhow, Kurant's wife is absolutely gorgeous (i've known him for a while). My advice is to tell her not to bro. It's not worth the pain/healing time/infection chance, not to mention having some trashy piercer kid having his hands all over your wife's goods. Genital piercings are such a turn off for me I don't advise them for anybody :(. |
Ive had mine done for about four years and I have had no problems with it.
I sometimes get bored with it and take it out for a while and then decide I want to put it back in. Its like a peice of jewellry - sometimes I wear it sometimes I dont. Depends on the mood. |

i've been curious about piercings in general (currently have none - not even a belly ring) but have been unsure about why a gal would even *want* a clit hood piercing ... seems like an awfully sensitive/painful place to stick a needle. thank you for de-mystifying the topic for me. i shall now return to the ladies lounge to gather some further (more graphic?) info on the subject. anything else you can tell me here? |
It's certainly a personal thing in terms of likes and dislikes. I fall in line with Plan9. I don't care for the visual interruption in that area and it seems that the risk of infection and other problems might be a bit high. I however do not own a clit but I would love to operate one on a more fequent basis :D. That said if a willing owner were pierced I don't think I'd make a big deal out of it.

I have a cousin who maintains that the human body is naturally equipped with all the tools we need for having perfectly healthy and enjoyable sexual lives. There really is not a need to resort to piercings to enhance sexual pleasure.
If more couples took the time to do proper foreplay there would be no need for women to get their clits pierced in order to reach orgasm. |
Bah. I recently had an encounter with a girl who had a clit hood piercing. I must say that the idea never really appealed to me before. Why would you want all sorts of hard metal bits down there? I must say though, it's certainly more enjoyable than it sounds. Of course there's no -need- to get pierced, but that's not to say it doesn't add to the experience. Good foreplay can always be made better. And again, it's not like it's permanent. Feel like having sex "the way nature intended"? Just take it out! Personally, I found it to be very enjoyable, as did she, and I don't see any reason not to, if she's willing to go through the process. If there was any loss of sensitivity, I didn't notice. ;)
Let's leave the naturalistic fallacy out of the bedroom folks. :) |

A clitoral hood piercing is one of the easiest and pain-free female genital piercings possible. It's also one of the most useful from her perspective, as when pressure is applied it directly stimulates the clitoris, as opposed to more ornamental piercings like the inner or outer labia. Healing time is extremely short on the piercing since it's such a vascular and protected area (normally you aren't bumping that into lots of stuff during an average day). Plus, once it's healed you can take it out for short durations if you prefer to play without any ornamentation. Since it doesn't directly interfere with the clitoris (such as a triangle or clitoral shaft piercing) there's no reason to be concerned about any sort of nerve damage. If you do notice a decrease in sensitivity (which is very uncommon but not unheard-of) simply remove the jewelry for a few days and it'll return to normal. I pierced my wife's hood (vertically) about 2 years ago and she's never had any kind of problems with it aside from being able to achieve multiple orgasms from grinding it, which doesn't seem like a bad problem to have. ;)
Plan9: There are plenty of reputable professionals out there who aren't considered "trashy piercer kids" and who would do a great job on Kurant's wife's piercing. I don't know where you go to get your body modification needs met but I collect piercings and have yet to get one from a "trashy piercr kid". I'm a professional piercer in Austin, TX and if there are any other questions I could help out with please feel free to ask. Also, where are you located? Maybe I could recommend a shop or a piercer who are clean and sterile and would do a great job with the piercing, should she decide to get it. Jason Abels |

Did she have to take out the jewelry to get out of the shop? Can we get a follow-up on this girl? Enquiring minds want to know! |
