Anonymous Pill
Hey all. My girlfriend is in college, and although she's living on campus there, she still has a significant amount of her life based around her home. We've been having sex for about 4 months now, and we'd both like some more security through the birth control pill. However we don't want either of our parents to know we're having sex. Any advice on where we could find a place to get the pill anonymously would help alot, thanks!

well she should be able to get it thru her school... and if shes over 18 her parents shouldnt be able to find out....
if she doesnt like that or cant afford it thru the school look up the closest planned parenthood (http://www.plannedparenthood.org/) and she can go there... and they can provide them free or nearly free... there are some exams to make sure she is in good health and whatnot... but nothing that shouldnt be done regularly anyways...

Whatever Dr she goes to should keep the information from their other patients - ie. her parents. Especially if she is 18. Every clinic should have a form explaining her privacy rights. She should be having yearly physicals anyway so her parents shouldn't question a visit to the Dr.
We live in the same town as my parents and often I see Dr's that know my parents or that I used to babysit for or know personally. We can talk about everyday things but they never share medical information about my parents with me or visa versa (thank God my parents would freak about what the Dr knows. lol).

Some states don't have anonimity (sp?) laws, so I would double check before you assume her OB-GYN will keep their mouths shut. But, Planned Parenthood will keep it no matter what (that anonimity) because they are party a donations based organization, so they don't have to abide by state laws alot of the time.

Male birth control
It is too bad there are so few options for male birth control besides the condom. Otherwise this might not be such a big deal for females with strict parents.

If she is over 18 her parents cannot see her medical records with out her permission, I’m still covered under my dads plan and he cannot see anything I ask about. Talk to your doctor to see your options. I would recommend the shot instead of the pill, friend of mine is on that and loves it, every 3 months I think it is.

Look for a women's health clinic, or something of the sort.
They're usually the most discrete, and they're often more sensitive to women's needs. The one my ex went to was staffed entirely by women, was free, and if they had a need to call you house and you weren't home, they'd leave a message that "Jenna called", so that your parents wouldn't know.
