So what exactly is involved if you get a lap dance at a strip club? Whats expected? Protocol? Do's and Don'ts?

I have never been to one , but I do know some of the rules just from talking to friends and that. I had to a chance to go to a ladies night private party and you were allowed to touch. I was told that the guys came up even so much to grab your face and grind into you with nothing on and if they had an erection so be it.
As far as actual strip clubs 90% of them have strict rules you break one they throw you out on your ass to the curb. I was watching a thing on tv about them and the dos and donts of both the customers and the dancers. The guys can not so much as even get an erection onstage. The girls or guys will and do come up and do table dances and lap dances (have to pay for them), and most likely grab you everywhere possible but you can not even so much as make one move towards them.

In "gentlemen's" clubs, rules vary. Most clubs do not allow touching of the women. Basically, it's hands to yourself.

It has been my experience that the more commercial / franchise strip joints will allow you to do nothing but sit there with your hands to your sides or under your butt. It varies so much. Most don't allow touching, but there is still some touching going on. Touching the outside of their legs, etc. is usually not a problem. Florida: Here's a list of the cities in which I've patronized some strip clubs

Cocoa Beach -- touch everything but the breast and Vagina
Miami -- Touch everything but the Vagina (unless the dancer moves your hands there indicating permission)
Tampa -- Same as Miami
Port Richey -- Nothing goes inside the dancers :)
Gainesville -- Hands behind your head, no touching :(

It's usually a good idea to do one of the following:
1.) ask the entertainer what her dances are like and what's allowed (as every dancer will have her own set of rules)
OR
2.) Simply allow the dancer to move your hands to where it's okay to touch.

A warning for the newcomers to the Florida club scene: Because touching is allowed in almost every club, there will always be dancers who want to push the rules in order to get an edge up on the competition. If that's okay with you, great. This one club I went to had a no touch policy but I went back to the same club a couple years later and you could touch everywhere but in the panties.
