Frenulum & Tongue extension length
 

I have a problem: My tongue is damn short. It barely can reach outside of my mouth, which is a severe problem when it comes to giving oral to my woman. I can make it work if I tip my head back far enough, but it is so short that it nearly hurts to stick it out far enough to do any good.

Anyhow, I was wondering, is surgery on the frenulum available or common? What time commitment (Off work or school) would be required? Would I be able to speak?

I'm in the same boat really. For us, it's not a big deal, since I'm not all that great at it, nor do I particularly enjoy it. The women I've been with understand, so if you are comfortable talking with yours about that, you might want to try that first...it's cheaper!

I had a friend who had this problem, and he got the surgery as did his sister, it ran in the family. they spoke funny for a few days, but could talk. Then they just had to do these excersizes for a bit afterwards to ensure that it didn't heal back the same way, and it is fine now. they said it hurt a bit, but not too painful, and was quite successful!!! good luck!

DEI37- My girlfriend understands, and there are other things that we do, so it's not all that big of a deal. I just want to be able to please her as much as possible. Since I'm still young, the cumulative (no pun intended) benefit of getting surgery is pretty great.

I asked my family doc about it, and he recommended that I see an orthidontist. I'm tongue-tied though, so my situation may be a little different. . .

A frenectomy is a common procedure in any oral surgeons office. There is potential for regrowth of the frenum. Some surgeons are now using lasers for the procedure and I don't know of any contraindications to its use. Oral tissues generally heal quickly and would probably help you in your quest.

PS while the procedure is generally not difficult, do not go an amateur, piercers included.

Here is a good frenectomy story. If it is indeed the frenelum that is tight and causing this trouble for you, it might not be a bad idea. Just remember to stretch your tongue to make sure it doesn't grow back.

If she has a problem with the head you give, then make her pay for the surgery ;) otherwise its all in your head and you should forget about it. use more suction and just use the toung to tickle.

I have always had a short tongue, which kind of sucked since I really love giving oral. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I had the oral surgeon perform the frenulum procedure at the same time. It was really painful for several days. To make matters worse, the surgeon never told me to perform the necessary exercises, so it grew back (under my tongue, but not down my throat (where I think they also do some cutting)). The short tongue has simply required me to concentrate my oral on the clit, instead of doing more of a penetrating motion. While this can be somewhat boring, seems doing almost all of your oral work on the clit is the key anyway.
