You know better then starting a thread like this without some kind of reference. What was the source of this question? Did you have an experience that lead to it or a friend? Do you acknowledge that you've made a blanket statement that doesn't always apply? Lets have some substance please. |
It varies from girl to girl. There is no easy answer to something like this.
|
My ex-girlfriend was 25 when she flaked out and hardcore lost it. She probably won't be "normal" for years... if then. Don't count on anything from anyone... just take it slow with anyone that you think you'll really care about, and don't stick around for the girls that make things into crappy games that you can't win.
|
Uhhmmmm, what kind of "shit" are you talking about? Better be more specific..... *said in warning tone*
|
Pretty much they realize things when a long relationship has come to an end, and each party knows exactly what went wrong with the relationship. That's when they realize and grow up. Too bad you can't get back together with them because the same shit will happen over again.
|
The very same could be said for men...
If you're venting be specific about certain women or certain situations, otherwise, this topic is kind of offensive. |
When you can understand her methods of communications, and respond with the proper sense of caring.

In a word, never. To expand, if they don't have it together by about 20 or so, they're not going to.
|
Girls "get their shit together" at the same age that men stop obsessively masturbating. :D
Without knowing details, that is as good as you're gonna get. |
No way man... you think 20 year old girls have got it together? Get outta here.
I've seen 30 year old "girls", my uncles ex is like a mid 40's little girl. Pathetic doesn't discriminate by age, I tell you. And yes, same goes for men. :) But generally you will stop seeing flakes around 30 years old... you will see more consistencies. People that are still in their 20s are clinging onto their youth. (ok, maybe I am biased by my own experiences and being a little too cynical) |
It varies. My girl just turned 19 (today actually) and she has got things together pretty well.

I'd say that people flake all the time and at all ages,
they all have their own agenda & quirks. But I'd also say that the extreme flaking of most folks is usually finish by their later 20's. Your problem is that you are attracted to ladies thus the same shit that you wouldn't up with in a male friend, you tend to stick around to deal with in the one you're attracted to. You also tend to give leyway to your female friends too. Also remember, men tend to hide their emotions, women tend to express it...so when they are anxious & confused they will show it differently. But both flake, both are selfish, both are irresponsible, both have their quirks. |
Everybody is a flake in some aspect of their life ...
|
If anyone honestly believes they have never been a flake, then they haven't grown out of it yet. I think most people grow out of it when they are in their early 20's. If they don't it may last much longer. I've known some that grow out of it as early as 15 or 16 but I think it is rare. Being "flaky" is just part of the awkwardness of growing up, both men and women will always have this stage.
You have to give us some specifics so we can answer your question a little bit more personally. |

Odd I always thought girls were the ones who hid their emotions.

I agree completely... may be the question for the guys should be when are they going to grow up... |
Why do girls always hold things in and tell you after the fact?

Why do guys always hold things in and tell you after the fact?
It goes both ways... Also, you can't generalize the sexes like that. Just because some guys are cheating scumbags doesn't mean that all are. And just because some girls are unfeeling flakes does not mean that we all are. My dear Jesus Pimp... It is so hard to answer your questions without more background information. Maybe she's scared. I know I tend to hold back my true feelings sometimes because I'm scared of how the other person would react. I had a crush on a good friend of mine but I never told him how I felt. Then a year later he tells me that he had a crush on me. Of course it was all too late but there it is. If I had told him maybe something would have happened. Or maybe he would have freaked out and I would end up hurt. |
flakes?? flakes?!?
