Quick question..
if you are sexually active, what is your situation?

my situation is

my girlfriend is on cyclin? (sp?) pills and i finish inside her.

I had been reading up on them, and they are 95-99% accurate.

Statistically, if we have sex 100 times that means theres a chance between 1-5 times they will not work? We both dont want her getting preganent, so should i be extra safe and use a rubber?

We started using condoms in addition to the pill, just to help with my wife's main objections to having sex, mainly worrying about pregnancy, and the mess.
Whatever it takes. I like having the additional piece of mind, rather than leaving it all up to the pill.

Nope, that's an improper use of statistics. They are saying that 1 to 5 percent of women who are on the pill and sexually active will get pregnant; this has nothing to do with the frequency of sex. Probably either forgetting to take pills, or medicinal interactions, or that the woman's body chemistry doesn't agree with the pills.

When I was back in chemistry and we found a experiment that worked in 'theory' all the time say had a 100% turn out you always had to add that 2% for human error, so I think really that when they say that the pill only works 98% of the time, that the 2% is only there for human error.

Im thinking I should use a condom since pre-cum does have "some" sperm in it and there could be a slight chance of pregnancy due to that.

Oh boy (or girl?). That pre-come can be fairly concentrated with sperm. I wouldn't be surprised if she were pregnant now. It would probably be a good idea to look into legitimate birth control now.

Just a quick note on the stats...
When they say the pill is 99%+ effective, they mean that of 100 women having sex for a year (average 100 times) there would be 1 pregnancy (for 99%); 0.5 pregnancies (for 99.5%) etc...

So 99% means you'd get 1 pregnancy for every 10,000 times you have sex; and a lot of pills (used correctly) claim better results than that!

Well, Even condoms are not 100% safe...I know 9 times out of 10 they are, But there is still a risk.

If she did end up getting pregnant, I would just deal with it.

Another reason why i don't wear condoms is because i can't function with them on...You should know what i mean.

I don't sleep around with every girl and not wear a condom everytime...But if I know the girl very well, Then I won't wear one.

And me not being able to get off wearing a condom...Makes girls think it's them that's the problem...And i hate when they think that cause it's not them.

Oh well, I do and have practised safe sex...I just prefer no condom most times.
