Hey all...

I think we would all agree that sex rocks. Having said that, I was wondering if anyone here ever likes to take a night and just make out. That's all--just lots and lots of kissing. That was basically my expierence this weekend, and it was so much FUN. Granted, it had a lot to do with the person I was with, but some of it was just because I wasn't worried about being a good lay or getting off. We just made out like freshman. So anyways--what do you all think? Can you go sans orgasm/sex/petting/whatever and just make out? Or will you do this for your partner although its not your thing? Yes yes yes! Theres nothing wrong with a good make-out session. This is one thing I miss alot since I've been single. Which has been too damn long..

I would do it for my partner if it were...her thing. As much as we both enjoy kissing, we'd rather the kissing end with something more physical. I would definitely give up a night of sex, petting, etc. if she were up for it. I just don't think she'd be up for just that.

A good make-out session never hurt!

Though I find it hard to control myself and not go further... But: kissing is good!

I think that sometimes making out can be far more sensual than actually having sex. It's all about the mood and how it's done.

y'know, my wife & i just had one last weekend.......it's been a long time, with two small boys around, we usually just want to sleep (on a good day) or throw something at each other (bad day).

it was great. made me remember why married her.

There are times just making it out much more relaxing than going "all the way"...

But there are also times it seems easier to go "all the way" than just kissing! Ü

When my wife was pregnant in the late stages and shortly after the birth we couldn't have sex. This was about the only thing to do, and it was still fun.

my girl and I do that sometimes. I love it. Lately since we're in different cities now, We always try to take a day of just making out and getting to know eachother again. The rest of the time we get to business, but theres something about her, that just makes me love making out with her, sometimes more than having sex.

I'm not a huge fan of kissing, for reasons I won't get into, but when I am open to it, me and my wife do this sometimes, but I dunno if I could hold back going further, we both start sneaking into each other's pants :D

theres been many a time where i've had make-out sessions... and preferred it to some of the sex i've had.
but i haven't had this in ages.

You could have so much fun without taking off too much clothes. It's really great that people can appreciate this. The pressure when you're young is to have as much sex as possible... it could end up ruining the mindset of too many people. Sex is great, but it's magnificent if you have to wait for it.

Why is it that so many of us let go of the making out soon after the initial stages of a relationship? Kissing and groping and lusting and wanting and needing are what brought so many of us together in the first place. We should all treasure and relish those moments...and keep them alive! Kiss, touch, feel...do it every chance you can, people. It's the hottest thing going!!!

hmmm now that i think about it... arie and i dont do enough making out... we usually advance to more pretty quick...

No I've never "taken a night out" to just make out. Sometimes that's all I get : ( My gf isn't what you call sexually aggressive. Also when shes having her period make out is pretty much all she wants to do...

YES! You're right sex rule and everything, but making out definately can be enjoyable by itself occassionally. A lot of the time, my bf and I start out with just kissing in mind an of course it leads elsewhere, but hey.

I once knew a girl who prefered kissing by far to sex, not because she was prude, but because she thought you could learn a lot more about a person from a kiss rather than fucking. She made out a lot!!!

Anyway, given the fact that I am relitivly inexperienced when it comes to sex, a night of kissing (WITH A GOOD KISSER!) can be just heavenly.

Yup, a bad kisser is not a good thing. My ex-boyfriend... I realize now that he was a horrible kisser. I think he was trying to make a hole in the back of my throat or something.

I haven't kissed that many guys. 2 come to mind that I really really enjoyed. Hopefully I'll get the chance again soon with one of those guys ;)

Back to the topic at hand. I haven't really made out like that since high school and nowadays seem more interested in sex and more physical stuff. Maybe should try changing that up next time. Although i join the rest of the singles to pine about redigest past regrets/thoughts :(

Yeah, a good night of making out is amazing. I'll go for it any day. Its usually what my girlfriend and I end up doing. We dont put much importance on sex.

Yeah, its a lot of fun, as long as the person you are kissing is a good kisser. My last girlfriend was pretty good at it, but the last girl I made out with was horrendous. I dont know if it was the alcohol (I hope it was), but i thought she was going to swallow my face. It was a bad makeout session.

Hmm, this thread got me thinking in a roundabout way and I made a connection. Here is the conclusion I came to:
Kissing (mouth open, with tongue) reduces heartburn.

Here's my logic:
mouth open, with tongue == lots of saliva
sucking on hard candies == lots of saliva
lots of saliva == reduces level of acidity
reduced acidity == reduced heartburn

I'll have to try this sometime. Kissing is good and all, but a whole night of it? I tend to get bored after like 10 minutes. Hah, I'm pathetic.

Bored? More like, your tongue would be sore.. But I think I've mainly strengthend mine by doing various other activities :D

It's great just to be with someone and just kiss them... and It's fun to have a good old fashioned make-out session but at times kissing like can be such a turn on for me... that it can be hard to just keep it at that level

my longest makeout session was close to 3 hours :-D :-D
