Is this mean?
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here I go.
Is this a particularly cruel way to break up with someone, or is it something I should get used to. I got a msg on my phone after school saying I was dumped, she didn't want a relationship anymore. Then she ignores my calls, so I go down to her work (she was working) but she won't come out of the kitchen and see me. So one of the guys lets me go around back and she agrees to come tealk. She tells me, emotionless as a rock, that she doesn't feel anything for me anymore. So I get up and leave, and later she phone msgs me again saying she has been crying all night, and holding a knife to her wrist. So she comes to talk, and she takes me to the beach at night and we sit with the waves crashing a few metres ahead, and she tells me she loves me and wants to be with me, she just needs to sort shit out and she'll come tell me tomorrow that she wants me. We make out, then I go home and she goes to a party and gets with some guy. Then she comes to my house the next day and tells me that she cheated on me, and that I'm dumped again. Emotionless, as with the first time. Didn't care at all. All 1 week before major end of highschool exams. Is that harsh? Or do I have to get used to shit like that. |

Nah I'm just yankin' yer crank dude, she sounds like a bitch. Especially the making up with you then cheating on you bit. She sounds a bit messed up O_o edit: Also, shouldn't this be in Tilted Sexuality?

10 years from now you won't be able to remember her middle name. hold your head up and move on .she's playing you like a violin.youre way too young to have a minor thing like this mess up your head . trust me, ask someone else out and show her that it isn't the end of the world to you.youre a young man and its way too early in life to let a minor setback like this one drag you down. good luck. now go shag some wool.

Forgive me for being blunt, but she sounds like a real head case, and extraordinarily immature at that. Yes, her behavior was harsh and inexcusable. Get some distance between you and move on as quickly as possible - you've got a whole lot of life in front of you.

Learn from it, and try and avoid such fickle emotional (or emotionless) wrecks in future. Easier said than done I know, but if you can learn to spot 'em it'll do you wonders Best of luck, and don't feel bad, she's got the problems, you don't.

No, this is not normal.
Mature (and sane) individuals do not hold knives to their wrists on breakups, nor to they leave, comeback and then cheat on the person. In short, she's got serious problems and you are FAR better off without her. good luck!

Agreed with the above. Not normal in the slightest. Probably just wants attention.

drama.
avoid it like hell, for it will bring NOTHING positive in your life. this bird seems to thrive on it, so it behooves you to distance yourself as far away from this bird as possible. don't talk to her any more, don't go see her any more, find yourself a nice, normal girl and enjoy your life for a while. you're way too young to be shackled down to this nut for any extended period of time.

I agree this is not the norm. She sounds like a real nutcase to me.
Actually, this situation sort of reminds me of a couple of other people i know. I won't go into details on the off chance that either of them is a member here. But let's just say it didn't end well.

i don't know if she's necessarily a nutcase. sounds chaotic to me. like she's either been physically or mentally abused at some point in her life.
but i suppose that's besides the point. like everyone else said, NOT THE NORM, and not something to get used to. you'll find better. |

Thanks for all the responses, has helped a lot. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that was going to happen again and again. I wouldn't have minded as much if it was just a clean break up, but the way it got dragged on, and my hopes lifted, meh, just made it hard.

mail her a package with a note saying how much you hate her for what she has put you through and you know she will never find anyone because she is so insane that no one will be able to accept her, only f' her and leave her , so she'll probably die alone and unhappy
and the world would probably be better w/o her but at least she should try to enjoy her time by eating some twinkies (include a box of them in your package for use) or maybe a steak (include a set of steak knives for her use)

definitely not typical.
One week before the final exams? Well, that might be a good way to keep yourself from brooding too much about it. Harness all this negative energy, and use it to study. Keep yourself focused on your study, so as to keep her out of your head....... |

Have nothing to do with her. Don't walk - RUN! RUN! RUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!!
No one needs to put up with a chicca this wacky. If she begs, then tell her the only way you want to see her is if she comes over and blows you every day and doesn't talk to you. " That might be acceptable. |

You'll be better off without this basket case. Someone who "threatens" suicide, whether or not she was may be another story, just to get you back needs some serious help. So, in the words of my Mobster friends, "fuggedabouder!"

Move on...in fact rent a McLaren F1 to get away from this one.

Next time you run into her thank her . By her breaking up with you, she saved you a lot of wasted time and especially mental strain from dating somebody as screwed up in the head as she is . Remember, the "right one" wouldn't ever do anything remotely close to what she did to you.

Cynthetiq has the right take on this one....move on; there's nothing to see here.
This girl is a basket-case, and trying to stay with her is like putting the gun to your own head and pulling back the hammer. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!! Let her go. While it may hurt for a while, there are so many other, stable women out there that it's not something you'll regret for very long. |
