I read John Stagliano's "The Fashionistas" was pretty good and that it has won a bunch of awards. I watched it and must say the domination, chains, clamps, and vinyl don't do anything for me but the production value is surprisingly good having been shot on 35 mm with good lighting. It's kind of like watching a typical Hollywood film;horrible acting but technically sound (except there's a lot of intermittent sex).

I am only thirty, but I like the Golden Age of Porn (70's and 80's), because the people looked like real people. Nowadays, all of the starlets look plasticized. Andrew Blake has some pretty artsy stuff, If that's what you want, but GOOD porn is pretty subjective... I bought like 20 DVDs on eBay for around $2 each including shipping, and they were all compilation sex stuff... no plot, just WHAMMO. Sometimes those just ROCK, but sometimes, I'd rather see Jenna or something with a semblance of a plot. NOw if we could get something like Matrix with sex in it.... regardless, i'll make a few points -

1. good porn is subjective. duh

2. one must consider what one likes to see:

a) types of women (assuming one is watching it for the chicks) -
blond, brunette, boobs, butt, any fetish clothing, good lingerie, etc
b) types of sex - mf/fmf/mfm/ff/dp/anal/orgy/objects etc...
c) xtra considerations - plot, etc; availability (buying or d/l-ing)

3. when one is familiar with porn and the stars, one can seek out films with their favorites. same goes with directors, producers etc.

k, think i covered the basics.

recommendations?
