I was just wondering:

my girlfriend told me awhile back that she switched from her old birth control pills to new ones, which supposedly are "better." A month after this, and now she never wants to have sex, doesn't like me touching her, and won't give me anything . Before this we were having sex all the time, and if not sex, something else enjoyable. Now it feels like i'm her third grade study buddy. Does anyone know anything about this, and will she ever eventually get back to the normal woman she was before?

hm... it would help, I think, if we knew what she switched from/to. have you talked to her about this change? it could have NOTHING to do w/ the meds. is she having a stressful time at work/school/with family? are you two fighting about other things? is she depressed? is she on some other meds? all this can effect sexual libido.

So, the solution to this is: talk to her about it. ask her what's bothering her. explain your concerns. no accusations. no "well you are being mean, 'cuz i'm not getting BJ's!". that won't get you anywhere. good luck.

edit: also, it may just be that this particular pill she's switched to has some negative side effects, and in that case, she should get her tail back to the gyno to switch perscriptions. the doctor should work with her on this issue.

altho i've never taken birth control pills myself, i can still vouch for hormones being sometimes crazy & unpredictable.

i would imagine that chemically messing with an already delicate balance could be a bit of hit & miss mess in some cases.

listen to cheerios. talk to your girlfriend with a non-confrontal kind of concern. think about her welfare & not just your own lack of sexual satisfaction. good luck!
