Sure, there were times I've been "caught". No biggie, though.

Much more embarrasing was the time I was returning a bunch of sex books to the library on my bicycle. I'd put the books in a plastic bag with a draw string, then put the string around the handlebars.

I could see that there was something wrong with this arrangement, but I couldn't figure out what it was. So I was off.

Part of the route went down a nice hill. Part way down the hill, going along at a good clip, I hit an old patch in the road, or so I've reconstructed. I don't remember hitting it.

After their trip into the spokes, stopping the bike and sending me over the handlebars, the books were rather mangled. So my parents had to pay for them. Oh, joy. Oh, rapture. :p
