Cyber.

What's the allure of cyber sex? I hear it is relatively common, but it always seemed rather lame to myself. Do any adults actually practice this, or does it remain the domain of teenage boys?

Btw, this wasn't meant to offend. I only posted this after reading a previous thread.

It seemed really simulating and interesting when I was 12. But then again, at the time, so did Shiney Metal Objects and Pauly Shore movies.

I honestly thought it was cheesy and pretty hilariouse when I first discovered cyber..but I got into it..pretty deep (ha) actually. I had stopped ~ 4 years ago after my first bf and it still seems a little corny to me, but when i get into it its not that bad..You get to know what that person is thinking when you do something and you get open feedback as to what your doing or they are doing to you..that you wouldnt normally do or be in a situation with other people in real life.
I learned everything i know about sex from cybering and meeting with people..when i think back...wow..lol i knew Nothing..and i also met some great honest people that i still talk to 7 years later after first meeting them..

I posted this in Artelevision's journal entry about the same subject...

There are 2 kinds of cyber sex.

1) Basicly the kind that you see all the time in those AOL logs that end up as jokes all over the internet:

Joe: I am touching your breasts
Jane: oh that feels good, harder!

2) This is like #1, but it's more involved and like role-playing. It's written out like a screen play where every action and reaction is described by the two participants.

* Risker slowly touches his tongue to the heated skin of your stomach. His breath slowly cools the wet trail that he leaves behind as he trails downward.
* Laesia inhales sharply, shivering as the sensations overwhelm her. She places her hand on the back of your head, caressing softly, gently guiding you lower.

For a couple years, I was hooked on #2, it boosted my writing ability and I was able to create great imagery for my partner. It's not necessarily jack-off material unless you make it so. I always did mock #1 though... it was too simplistic for me.

I played around with it for a while myself. But I was a #1 kind of guy. It never really did anything for me, so I just ended up turning into one of those little pricks who lie about everything and mess with people. 13 was a prickish year for me

As described by hal, #2 can be a great way to express your fantasies that you don't typicaly act out in real life. I don't believe in the "it's cheating" school of thought either. It can also improve your real sex life by loosening your inhibitions that are already wired into your head. As a TFP'r who I can't remember once said "Who cares were you get your appetite as long as you're eating at home?"

yup.. that makes things incredibly different. i will be forced to admit that i engaged in this once in a while..... but it was with my wife. well, she wasnt my wife then and we were about 500 miles apart for about a month at a time and it was pure hell. the funniest part was that when we first met she told me that no way in hell would she ever do anything like that. i guess those months apart can change your perception of what is appealing and what isnt. the other thing was it never felt like cyber, we actually felt close to each other when we did anything.

ok.. i think i've said enough.

Hi. Titty Board refugee here.

I have a cybergirlfriend I met on a board where we've both posted for a couple years now. We're both married. We set up our own private message board and cyber with mics and Web cam. It gets pretty hot because we're totally into each other.

It's no substitute for the real thing, but it's waaaay better than other cyber.

Isn't it hard to type with one hand?

Seriously, though... I've never cyber'd and I don't know if it's something where you get off then and there (in which case the question stands). I can imagine it being much different with sound/audio. With text, though, it seems like it would be delayed gratification.

I was in my dorm and a friend of mine (a girl) IM'd me on MSN. We exchanged helo's and "fuck off bitch"s but soon after we bagan to talk like normal texan folk.

After awhile she said "i'm bored" so I said "that sounds like a problem" or something just as inconsiderate.

THAT is when she did it

She started to talk dirty to my over the internet. After about 5 messages from her and zero responses from me I had to end the madness and my disgust.

I told her to pick up shop and handle her erotic jazz elsewhere (or: [with] someone else). She didn't understand why I was so bothered by this.

Thing is, she was only a 30 second walk from my room so her IM'ing me with that not only digusted me, but I felt insulted -seeing as how she could've easily just walked to my room to get some ... satisfaction.

Now, I can look back on that situation and laugh [at her].

When i first got into cyber i was old enough to be a #2 man from the start, and i made some really good friends that way
throughout the years.
still am friends with a couple of them which i phone occasionally.
adding the webcam and phone intensifies it but its the talking afterward that makes it worth more than the cheap or lame thrill some believe it is.

if i had it to do over again i wouldnt change a word stutter or frame rate drop.

it was worth every minute.

Cybering in the chat rooms was the first thing I did on the internet. I was pretty young, but I have to admit last year I was working a job and had a lot of spare time so I started hitting up a web site called the craigslist. They had a personls section with a lot of people looking to mess around. I kinda experimented with the kind of people I could talk to. I met some really freaky girls and guys for that matter. I liked it beacuse you can get girls to lose a lot of the nhibitions that they would normally have in real life.

In seriousness, I used to cyber a bit...I still wouldn't mind doing so, if it was with someone which I had an emotional attachment....there are a few out there

Otherwise, I'd prefer to read good stories, of which there are an abundance.
