So, who does the most work when going down? Guys or Gals?

On the weekend i was having this discussion with my better half and I was explaining how men go down on their partners more than their partners go down on them, and that we have a far more 'labour intensive' (bundy, 2003) job than the girls do. To prove the second part of my theory I decided that a bet was in order in which i had to don the snorkel and go down for at least 2 hours...

It would seem that in my drunken state my ego had written a cheque my tounge couldn't cash as i failed between the 1 - 1.25 hour mark.

So to satisfy my curiosity,
i beg you to answer these questions three:

1) Who does the most work when giving head - men or women?

2) From your experience and knowledge of your mates, who do you think goes down more? Does it always seem to be the guys going down for no reward, or vice versa, or is everyone out there fairly selfless?

3) What's your PB? The above time is my best...

Of course it all depends on the relationship. Best time going down or sex ingeneral? The longest (and only) time going down was about 25 minutes. The longest sex session (which did include this time going down) was just under 4 hours. It was also her longest time which is saying alot considering the fact that she is a total whore.

Men. Every woman is different.

Depends on relationship. Last one it was me. One before that, it was her.

I think guys do more work than gals. There is usually more time involved muff diving than BJ's. Guys come alot quicker than gals. Hence the guys doing more work.

Maybe some of the bi women can answer more accurately having done both.

a blowjob is a simple repetitive task. guys in general have a lot more work to do (sorry for using stereotypical gender roles), taking into account the huge variety of vaginas out there.

I enjoy a good blowjob... but to be completely honest I prefer to give than to recieve. It's more fun that way, for me at least.

Yup, girls tend to be more complex to please, and take longer.
There's a lot more looking and analysing of sounds and body motions to figure out how to proceed.
In my experience, it's rarely happened that a girl could not please me (although i rarely climax from it at all), while i've had much more trouble getting the girl into mad-sex-mode by oral stimulation. But maybe it's just never been my specialty- i'm open to suggestions tho :)

I think I spend more time at it, but only because I want to. When I'm giving oral sex, I want to stay at it till she's satisfied, whatever that might mean to her.

The work for men (though it hardly seems like work) is more in the area of creativity, exploration, inventiveness, and rhythm.

The work for women (though it REALLY doesn't seem like work) is more in the area of rhythm and head-bobbing.

NOW, that said, if you measure "work" in terms of calories burned, I'd say women do WAY more than men. Takes a lot of energy to bob her head like that.

As I type this, I'm struck by the heterocentricity of this thread. It's really not "men and women" so much as "people performing oral sex on women and men"....

Actually, that's another interesting topic. Think a woman works as hard eating another woman as a man would eating the <i>same</i> woman? I sort of doubt it.

The question isn't a matter of work, but rather, whether you enjoy what you're doing while you're down there. I know I spent a hell of a lot more time working on oral sex and finding new things to tantalize my last gf than she spent perfecting her methods. Research and practice combined with the desire to always be creative drove me to do far more "work" than her in the area.

women probably go down wayyyy more than men do. It seems expected by most guys but I've known a lot of guys over the years who wouldn't think of going down on a woman.

Cunnilingus is more complex than fellatio, so it's more work to please a woman than a man.
I define best time by how fast I can make men come, which I think is somewhere under 5 minutes, but I don't like to track the time when I'm having fun. As for lengthwise, probably more than an hour.
