"Sugarbabe" thinks you're no smarter than your cock
'Sugarbabe' favors negotiated infidelity - CNN.com
tl,dr version: Woman gets dumped by married man she has been "kept" by; unfortunately, her only income was being the man's hot pocket. Rather than using the psychology degree that she has to find a job, woman decides to indulge her co-dependency issues, and becomes grand-a-week prostitute. Woman comes to the conclusion that men are no smarter than their dicks, and advises women to put up with their douchebag mates if they want to keep a roof over their head. (This isn't about polyamory; the person in a polyamorous has even less reason to stray outside the boundaries of the relationship compared to someone in a monogamous relationship, according to the reasoning of Sugardupe. Get caught straying outside of a polyamorous relationship, and I imagine you have some 'splainin' to do to TWO Lucys.) So, does anyone still buy the tired "me man, me fuck" biological argument/quakery as to why douchebags can't keep their dicks within the confines of a relationship?

I've never bought that and anyone who does is rationalizing.
I don't deny that there is a male biological impulse to 'plant one's seed' as widely as possible in order to better ensure continuation of the species. It's just that they are equally shaped by environmental and social realities that moderate those biological impulses to a great extent.

Has anyone ever been angry enough with someone to want to do real, physical harm to that person? Because, you know, if you don't have enough control over yourself to keep that impulse in check, you could be a guest on the Jerry Springer show.

If I were no smarter than my cock, then my cock is pretty dumb. It's not fucking nearly enough.

My point being that my instincts don't make decisions for me, even if sometimes they inform them. The idea that it's normal or okay for a man to stray from a relationship that has been set up as mutually monogamous simply presumes that men can't or won't make conscious decisions informed by more than just their impulses.

I'm not sure I would want to be with a woman who was OK with me sleeping with other women when she isn't involved in it.
There are a lot of factors that lead men to cheat. The media should be reporting on how couples can stay happy (even if their relationship isn't perfect or there are 'better' people out there), not encouraging Jon & Kate + 8 types of relationships that might be fun for a while but will not last. |

Yeah the urge to fuck is a harsh mistress but its not that hard to walk away from temptation either. Very few people lack total impulse control. Lets be honest, its a BS stereotype about men that's bandied about by jades lovers to rationalize why their bored, castrated, purse carrying, nagged to death boyfriends/husbands are cheating, which in turn is equally thrown about by douchebag guys trying to rationalize why they couldn't keep their dick from seeking out the hot secretary like a fleshy dowsing rod. There is always a lot more behind cheating then a biological desire to "get some" chances are if you look at the relationship, something is amiss somewhere.
Case in point the women in the OP. Of course your boyfriend/sugar daddy broke it off he was probably about the lose half his stuff after a nice ass raping by his wife's divorce lawyer. Its just easier to think its all biological, then actually having to examine the messed up relationship you were in isn't it? Having said that, $1,000 a week is pretty sweet, if she wants to do it more power to her. That kind of money is hard to turn down.

But $1000 a week is only $200 a day assuming she takes Sat. and Sun. off to hose out her high mileage hotdog holster.
That's peanuts. You can make more than that legally and you don't have to pay for rent or food or Summer's Eve or Valtrex. She needs to charge more. If men are as only as smart as their wang, she's not far behind. $200 a day. Pfft. Last edited by Plan9; 08-04-2010 at 07:29 AM.. |

Jesus, if I could get $200 a day, I'd feel like a prince.
But this whole thing of "sex for stuff" wouldn't be a bad deal if that's what each party was mostly after.

I never understood why people have such a thing about prostitution. Guy wants to pay, girl wants the money (or vice versa) why should I or anybody give a care?
And I agree she should probably should be charging more perhaps she's somewhat challenged in the looks department. Years of being looked after by a sugar daddy can take its toll...maybe that's why he broke it off?

yeah i'm with ya, what the hell difference does it make if two consenting adults have a romp after some money is exchanged? that's pretty much all that happens in any relationship, ever, anyway. Ever been with a girl who you had to buy dinner, take her out to the movies, shopping, etc? Ever been in a relationship in which you had to contribute anything? It is essentially the same thing, only the currency changes. As far as the being as dumb as my cock goes, idk about all that, I haven't had a piece of strange in years and I know if my cock were in charge things would be different.
edit: my visual contribution ...
