Question for guys only

Would you star in a porno video if

1 - you knew no risk of disease, pregnancy, etc
2 - the girl was a good looking, but not stunning
3 - you wouldnt get paid a thing
4 - you had a GUARANTEE that every one of your friends would see the video.

?

To me its a no brainer - yes, but some of my mates were saying they wouldnt do it.

__

I hope this doesnt belong in nonesense, because I think it is (and I intend it to be) a real question about men and our attitudes to sex.

Cynthetiq 02-26-2009 03:09 PM

no. my life is not for public consumption in that manner.

Plan9 02-26-2009 03:17 PM

No. I'm got a smooth spot like a Ken Doll and I intend on working a fed job later. They'd frown upon that sort of thing.

I'm pale, scrawny, and hung like an action figure... nobody would cast me over the next guy for an adult film role.

I'll let Manic Skafe's signature quote finish my thoughts about it. It really is just a zoo and it gets really boring.

World's King 02-26-2009 03:20 PM

Yes.

And maybe I already have.

pig 02-26-2009 03:25 PM

Nope. Now, in previous times in my life would I have fucked a girl who was disease-free, ok but not stunning, without monetary compensation, and where my friends would all know I'd done it?

History says the answer is yes.

Why in the hell would I want video of that shit around? For mass consumption? I'm not that pretty when I'm doing the pelvis slapping rite, at least not without the being-in-love component. If you're hard up to get laid, just tell the ok-looking clean girl you'll think about it, but you need to do a test drive. Same action, more deniability.

Have you seen amateur porn? Does it ever really look that enticing? Why would you want to chronicle it?

Fotzlid 02-26-2009 03:30 PM

I'll pass.
I don't even like having my picture taken let alone making a porno.

KirStang 02-26-2009 04:00 PM

Do I get to wear a disguise?

In all seriousness, no. Some things are better kept private.

Glory's Sun 02-26-2009 04:15 PM

for free?

no thanks. I couldn't care less about my mates seeing it..

I'm an expensive slut.

botabota 02-26-2009 04:40 PM

No...
Because I LOVE my SO .... :D

Bear Cub 02-26-2009 04:47 PM

Why fuck an average gal for all the world to see, when I could fuck a smoking hot girl at my leisure and probably finagle at least dinner out of her?

dippin 02-26-2009 05:01 PM

first of all, doing porn is a lot harder than expected. There was a blog by this male porn actor, Christian something, where he was pretty candid about the difficulties of the business. Having sex for a few hours straight, in often very uncomfortable positions, under bright lights, etc. etc. can be very demanding.

Second, I teach for a living. No way that goes well.

catback 02-26-2009 05:08 PM

For free no way, you pay first

Xerxys 02-26-2009 05:53 PM

Nope....... I'm not that desparate .... ok, maybe I am, but still ....

NOPE!!

Zeraph 02-26-2009 06:42 PM

No way, what's the appeal?

spindles 02-26-2009 06:48 PM

I'm with everyone else - I fail to see the upside of this (even if I wasn't in a monogamous relationship).

there is no guarantee of not getting disease 0r pregnancy. but for the sake of this thread..

no i wouldnt.

i find no appeal in any of those indicators.

theres nothing free about free sex. theres always a headfuck somewhere

World's King 02-26-2009 07:12 PM

So I'm the only one that would do this?

I guess that says a lot about me.

Xerxys 02-26-2009 07:20 PM

Not really man, we all just want to be hired by some big company or are in a relationship currently. Porn, as was discussed in ditch the porn thread, has an "ick" factor associated with it.

I by no means think less of you for wanting to do this. Or anuyone else. I wouldn't do it even if the lady was stunning .... er maybe I would, but even then I would have to convince myself.

ASU2003 02-26-2009 07:39 PM

Would they know it was me in the video? Or would it be shot from my point of view?

If it was random porn sex, probably not. It would depend on what day it is and if I can remain anonymous. If some porn producer came to me and wanted me to have sex with some virgin 20-something girl (I'm still at 0 as well), and wanted it to be as real and natural as possible. I'm not sure I could say no.

If it is a girlfriend and we would star in an amateur porn video, then yes, I wouldn't care if my friends saw it. I'm not going to point it out to them, but I have nothing to be ashamed about by having hot, passionate, long, loving sex with a good looking girl.

I'm surprised they find as many good looking girls to do this as they do.
I kind of want this same question to be asked in the Ladies Lounge and add in "If you were single again, What would your price be?" as well as, "Have you ever made a video or taken pictures? Have you shown them to others?"

toxic515 02-26-2009 07:41 PM

nope nope. Don't need that kind of stuff out there to damage my non-existent reputation. I certainly don't need the people at my job seeing it.

Zandos 02-26-2009 07:43 PM

At first I was like sure.. why not, but then I started thinking about my friends that would have watched it and I had to change my mind. I would never ever be able to bring a date around my friends. The first thing they would do is show her the tape. No way they would ever keep that secret..

Anxst 02-26-2009 08:13 PM

Nope. That's just not my kind of thing. Besides, none of my friends would want to see that.

World's King 02-26-2009 08:29 PM

I have a girlfriend that I love very much. And I hope to have my own restaurant one day.

Martian 02-26-2009 08:36 PM

My issue isn't even with my friends seeing it. I don't think any of them would care.

There seems to be a sort of idealism involved with porn. Get paid to fuck beautiful women, sure! But then the reality hits. I'm not big into the idea of having to perform on command; some days I'm tired or stressed or just plain not in the mood. Having to go forward anyway, and having to do it in front of an audience with a bunch of stage lights making my bare ass all hot and itchy, having to re-do different takes and having some other random person deciding when I'm to switch positions or pacing or finish... that doesn't appeal to me at all.

It's a bit like testers in the video game industry. Get paid to play video games! they say, and leave out the part that you really end up having to play level X 150 times while testing to see if doing this or that action breaks it. The reality doesn't live up to the fantasy here.

Give me a few years and another divorce or two... I'll probably be up for it at that point.

RickB 02-26-2009 09:51 PM

No, I can't think of any reason why I would.

Willravel 02-26-2009 10:26 PM

If Ronald D. Moore wrote it, Michael Mann directed, Spielberg produced, Hans Zimmer scored it, and I was given creative control? I'd consider it.

I've never seen a pornographic film worth watching; the entire industry is a self-parody. There's no real effort. It's the same tired crap with the same plastic people over and over. The only porn movies that are known for being good are the originals, the genre-definers. And even those are the same crap. I'd be interested in storytelling, actually creating and performing art. And I don't mean Casablanca with penetration. Sexuality is a great tool in communicating the human condition because for so many of us it plays such an important role in our lives. There are societal aspects, religious aspects, political aspects, visceral aspects; sex is part of life. It's not just "I'm here to fix your sink as a pretense to fuck you." or a parody of a non-pornographic movie like "Pirates" (which is supposed to be some sort of ground-breaking porno).

I don't care about my friends seeing it. I don't need the money. I'd just get bored and frustrated working on the set of "Unsightly Pizza Boy has sex with Stupid Blonde Housewife with fake double Es, nipples on her neck, and a bleached asshole, part 12".

Halx 02-26-2009 10:29 PM

There's really nothing appealing about this situation.

dlish 02-26-2009 10:32 PM

ok..now take out the pornography aspect (which would also eliminate your friends seeing it aspect also)

would you do it then?

disease free..good looking girl...no strings sex

does this change the scenario now?

Plan9 02-26-2009 10:42 PM

Yeah, it's Craigslist "casual encounters" and "no strings attached" after 79 tries.

inBOIL 02-26-2009 10:46 PM

No. I'm uncomfortable with certain things being public.

Completely different. The issue is the publicity, not the sex.

i know, just trying to segregate the issues here.

pubilicity on any taboo issue will almost always have people turn things down

Check out the early work (late 70s early 80s) of Rinse Dream (AKA Stephen Sayadian) esp. Café Flesh and Night Dreams. Seriously.

To the original question:

Part of me (a small part :) ) says yes. Another part of me (the thinking part) says no. If I wasn't married and didn't have kids I'd probably go for it--regardless of how small my part was. Maybe ...

wraithhibn 02-27-2009 07:17 AM

My friends keep asking me when I'm going to start directing because I have so much experience in viewing. Plus I'm more a voyeur than exhibitionist.

Xerxys 02-27-2009 07:50 AM

King: Sorry, I never meant to imply that you got nuthin' to loose.

Will: Won't you just fast forward through all those other parts .... wha... or why do people watch porn?

Dlish: The issue is the lack of anonymity, I honestly think that if we were to add the factor that you DO get paid, more people would actually do it. Even if they aren't so broke. Money can do that ... I wouldn't be surprised if some of the answers turn into yes.

Martian: There is an idealism. Assuming of course you know better, you are, afterall, Martian, there will always be people wondering why the hell is someone else living out my fantasy. I would personally act porn to some level just to try it out. But not in the OP's description, no, that's too surreal.

That guy is a colossal douchebag and his blog is not representative of the business, but yes, fucking for the camera is a lot harder than doing it because you enjoy it.

curiousbear 02-27-2009 10:04 AM

No. It is not worth.
Now I will do it for free if it is a good movie, good director and co-stars even if the role is supporting, comedy (if possible), or even a psychopath villian. But the consequences of doing a porn makes it totally worthless.

QFT

Maybe I should be a professional porn critic. I'm always complaining about it, and I know I could shoot a better video than a lot of the stuff out there now.

And Xerxys & Will, I want to watch a real movie with actual sex scenes that go beyond the art-y scenes in the hollywood movies now. Something with Natalie Portman in it prefferably. ;)

Anormalguy 02-27-2009 03:41 PM

The idea doesn't appeal to me for several reasons.

1. I'm married, & wouldn't want to risk my marriage over the chance to "star" in a porn movie.

2. I can't think of a single reason as to why I would want all of my friends to see me in action.

3. The producer and/or director would take one look at my dick and promptly die laughing .
