Taste change

I've read a lot of topics and posts about the changes in taste of a man's semen, but something came up recently that made me ask, what can change a woman's taste?

My SO has always been very willing, even eager, to perform oral sex on me. Recently, though, he mentioned to me that my taste has changed for the saltier. As he put it, "It used to taste smooth, like your mouth, but now it's more salty." I've tried it and he's quite right, so here's my question:

Can being on birth control change a woman's taste? This is probably the only major change in my intake or... outtake that I can see. According to him my taste change and taking birth control happened around the same time.
If no, what are some things that can cause this change for the saltier? Examples?

Erm - before you were on BC, were you using barrier contraception? And if you did, have you changed now you're on BC?

It may be that what he's tasting the the effect of semen on your vaginal contents.

Absolutely - with 25 years of experience as a taste-tester under my belt, I can state with authority that women on birth control do taste different from women not using same.

Being able to conceive is the most fundamentally necessary component of human evolution. Taking enough hormones to disrupt the most important thing your body is designed to do is going to change things. The answer to "Can birth control change a woman's [anything]?" is a resounding yes, especially if the subject of the question involves your reproductive system.

I don't have enough experience to comment on women in general, but I haven't noticed any difference in my wife's normal juices from when she was on the pill and when she went off the pill.

There is, however, some variation in the taste of the fluid when she squirts. Sometimes the fluid is mostly tasteless, other times it is slightly to moderately sweet. I have no idea why, & my searches on the internet haven't been much help.
