Sex on the Beach
I couldnt sleep last night and decided to take a drive to the beach around 3am. I got there and was pretty blown away by how serene it was. I was like man if i was with a girl right now this would be really romantic. So i sat down and in about two minutes i had to leave cause i was getting eaten alive by bugs. Anyone have any experiences on the beach at night? Did you have a bug problem?

Yes, the beach is quite beautiful at night. I also get sad for some reason when I go there and it is so quiet like that.
The last time my husband and I were there at night on the beach in blankets I got bit by bugs also and we had to leave after not too long. Sand fleas I think?? |

I've never had bugs bite me in that context...more like, on the beach at night you might get gnats biting you, but no "sand bugs".
Sex on the beach is fun...but take blankets with you...and it works best half in half out of the water...because as Bear_Cub said ^

Some of the beaches here have sand fleas... of course you don't know that you've been bitten by sand fleas until a few days later when all the bites break out.
That said, sex on the beach is great except for the sand in your bits.

Here in Florida, sand fleas are little crab-like creatures that burrow into the sand at the shoreline. They don't bite and are quite adorable, actually. The bugs that come out and bite you at night are gnats, aka no-see-ums.
I have had sex on the beach, not at night, and it's not all that great. Sand is a huge drag. But, like tippler said, having sex while floating around in the water can be very nice.

Back in college days I had a great romp one night at the beach in Mazatlan, Mexico during winter break. I was way too drunk to notice if the bugs were biting. The bugs would have been a trivial matter compared to being caught by the police who were always on the lookout for reasons to shake down the gringo hippies.

I live by a shingle beach, so I may try it one day if my wife and I get bored of the bedroom overlooking the sea.
Whilst sand in the vagina is painful, shingle in the vagina is just weird...

I don't live near a beach but next time I'm close to one I'll find out! For now I will stick to golf courses and random cliffs, less sand that way.
I would think it'd be very enjoyable, and usually when I'm outside I don't notice bugs until after everything's said and done.

I have done this on a few occasions, and have always brought blankets and/or towels to help with the obvious sand issue. The deed must be done on a rise or even hill in the sand-less chance for the sand to spill over on whatever you're laying on.
On a slight tangent, sex anywhere in the outdoors is simultaneously liberating and exhilarating. Depending on where you are the remoteness of the place can make it feel as though you're the only people in the world-offering some wonderfully romantic and thrilling escapades. Also depending on where you are, the chance of being discovered can add to the excitement. |

My wife grew up on the Jersey shore, so very early on in our relationship we ticked "under the boardwalk" off of the list of locations. We were standing and leaning against a support pole, so sand was not an issue.
