Things we love about women
 

I wasn't able to find a response to this thread and I thought it was about time someone started one. So here are a few things I like about women:

-The way they move. Even when they trip over something they somehow manage to do it gracefully.
-The amused look they give you when you're about to do something stupid.
-The way they make sandwiches, fold towels, make the bed, etc. perfectly on the first try.
-The way they look while reading a book.
-The shy smile they get when they find out you're interested.
-The way they make you feel manly just for killing a spider or opening a jar.
-(for friends) The way you can gain their rapt attention by uttering the phrase "so I met this girl..."
-The way they know how to scratch your back just right

One thing I absolutely love about women is their smile. When you do something that they like or tell or a joke or surprise them and they smile and it just lights up the room. I can't get enough of a pretty smile.

Seconded. These are really good.

-The way the preoptic area of their hypothalamus is smaller
-The broader nature of their cricothyroid articulation angle
-The pelvic girdle
-Their over-dependence to a stable circadian rhythm
-The dark mysteries of their endocrine system

What about their handwriting??? do they all go off to some secret school or something so that ALL their handwriting looks the same (and legible!) ???

Honestly. My mother's, my wife's, my female doctor. All women seem to take pride in their handwriting. Except my sister. Well, there's always the exception.


You know what else I like about women? Their extreme embarassment when they fart. I don't get it, but it is so endearing.

Ha! We obviously hang around some very different women! Okay maybe not all of them, but many of the women I am friends with just let em rip.

Ok so not so politically correct but my SO does/had both of these in abundance! yum!

-When they start at something that frightens them and immediately look at you for comfort
-Their hair. God, I love women's hair.
-How apologetic (well, most that I've been with) they are while it's "their time of the month"
-Their dazzling sense of style

As a straight women, I don't have much to contribute except to say I hope this becomes a multi-page thread. I find the few answers so far facinating.

What the hell, I'll add something I love about a single woman. The way Shakira moves her body...drool.:love: (Not quite in the spirit of the thread though).

I love women's hair. And the characteristic curve of a woman's hips, and the small of a woman's back.

- The number of laughs that escape her (embarrassed, silly, humored, angry).
- Even the way she yells at me.

(I know some of these were mentioned already, but hey, some of them were worth saying twice.)

-The way she doesn't care much about how I dress or anything, just likes me.
-The way she lies on my chest when we're sitting around in the garden.
-The way she can fall asleep afterwards, almost as readily as me.
-The way she is embarrassed by things, but then gives me a grin when I reassure her.

A month away from her is tough :(

I like how her character is better than mine, and it makes me be better. If I had married a woman with lesser character I'd probably be dead or insane.

Hmm.... I've always enjoyed pregnant women. The process is absolutely beautiful and watching the transformation into motherhood brings me great joy, even if I'm just an observer.

The ability to emote without ego is also incredible. As a man, I have an association between my ego and my emotions, which can lead to squelching if I feel I'm not being masculine. Women simply don't have that. Women are more introspective and more capable of allowing themselves to feel emotions. I admire that.

Oh, and the smell.

In my own personal experience, I've found that most generalities about women, whether positive or negative, aren't accurate enough. For any particular attribute listed, a significant portion of other women won't exhibit it to nearly the same degree, if at all, so I'll focus primarily on what I love about the woman in my own life.

Her intuition - seems to instinctively pick up on how I'm feeling at any given moment.
Her stubbornness - I find it cute when she is determined to hold her ground.
Her tenderness - she is there when I need her most, making a dark day brighter.
Her horniness - she's almost always up for a romp in the hay, and she makes it obvious. ;)
Her passion - when we are in the hay, she gives as much as she gets.
Her forgiveness - despite screwing up immensely and on multiple occasions, her arms were there to welcome me back.
Her gentle nature - she rarely provokes or acts confrontationally, avoiding needless fights and diffusing tension in whatever way possible.
Her depth of love - I haven't reached the bottom and don't believe I ever will. She has an endless capacity to express her love. It is unconditional and warm as the sun.

These qualities are only a few of many, but they're important ones that have come to mind.

Mm~I feel warm and fuzzy. Thanks guys. I needed that. I hope the women in your lives appreciate you, as much as you do them.

+1. Also much needed for me, and its nice to hear how much women in the world are appreciated. ^_^ Whether it be personal, or general to all women.

I'll add one to honour all my lady friends, my sisters:
-I love how they listen, and how -intune we are to each others needs. If one's happy, and the other's not herself, selfishness disappears, and these lovely ladies help each other in their own little way. I treasure each girl friend for their special ways they cheer me up, or keep me company. Bless you ladies, you keep me sane sometimes.

When they cook for me.

And no, I'm not trolling, I live alone and don't cook for myself terribly often. I really do appreciate a nice home cooked meal, especially when it's a lass doing the cooking :-)

How they're so incredible fragile unless they're pissed and then they develop PCP-like immunity to pain.

How most of them refuse to carry stuff in their bra even though it's like a pair of jean pockets on their chest.

How they have a "time of the month" where it is perfectly acceptable to have mood swings like a tornado.

I suppose these could be negatives, but I find them positive in that they're quirks I enjoy.

Things I love about my fellow female friends:
Giddy bright eyes as we chat about new makeup and gorgeous men.
The contageous laughter.
Patience and a shoulder to cry on.
The ability to say it straight when I need to hear it, ie: "That hairstyle isn't working, hon."
Voices. Singing, speaking, reading - incredibly calming.

The way they carry the world of stress on their shoulders, and let it all go as her head rests on my chest.
The way I become a better person, not because I'm trying to impress her, but because she brings it out of me.

Some of these things are really sweet. And I now know what things to do more often, thanks. :icare:
