So GG and I have been dating for 2 years, and were both in school with each other all the time and everything was fine. Then I graduated and for the past year we have been doing the long distance thing, sometimes getting to see each other almost every weekend, other times going as long as a month or so.

The sex during the long distance has always been good, but GG would get really sore after the first or second time, we have always chalked it up to the long distance.

Now the long distance is over, and she isn't really getting sore like she had, but it seems that any of the positions that allow for deeper penetration that we enjoyed before now cause her severe pain. She describes it as " a sharp pain real deep" when I hit just a tiny bit too far.

We are working on finding her a gyno to visit with about this issue, but she doesn't currently have one in this area.

If anyone has any experiences that might be helpful we would really appreciate them.

If it's only during deep penetration, you may be hitting her cervix. I've been made to understand that this is very painful for women. As to why this should only start after school, I have no idea. Perhaps conditions were different when you were still in school? Smaller beds in the dorm rooms or something, preventing that level of depth?

Other than that, I have no suggestions aside from psychological.

It may take a while for the cervix to rise out of the way. If things go too fast (or there isn't the anticipation of sex from the time she sees you as before), it may not have risen out of the way yet. Try having a lot of foreplay one day and see if it still happens.

My advice: if the pain is really bad no matter the position, she needs to see a gynecologist ASAP. Once upon a time I had similar pain and was given urinary pain medication (available over the counter - AZO). Took the medication, the pain dulled, so it was assumed that I had a mild bladder infection. Antibiotics helped.

If the pain is probably more a result of not enough lubrication or arousal, spend more time on foreplay. Give her an orgasm before you have penetrative sex and her muscles will automatically be more relaxed. Agreeing with everyone else that it sounds like you are hitting the cervix. I've been searching for a sexual positions guide online that includes likely depth of penetration, but I'm unsuccessful so far. I'm posting in case anyone else knows of such a guide, as well as bookmarking the thread so I remember to search again later.

I don't know about it always hurting a woman when her cervix is hit. As far as I know pain is a subjective thing. It doesn't hurt me when my SO hits my cervix, though my cousin says that it hurts her enough to almost ruin the sex.

My wife experiences the same problem occasionally. But it always seems to be when deep penetration happens before she is completely "warmed up". If enough foreplay for her happens beforehand, she tends to be ok with it.
