Does anybody know of a good place to find rather tame erotica? My friend wants something "more graphic than romance novels" but is turned off by really explicit language. She wants sensual stories, without "cocks" and "pussies". Sites with a minimum of explicit pornographic banner ads would be ideal

Personally I'm a big fan of www.literotica.com, and that is a relatively safe site to browse if you want to avoid seeing graphic ads, but I'm at a loss for how to find "tame" stories on there. I usually look for the most graphic ones I can find.

If she's willing to try reading fanfiction, I'd recommend looking through the stories on adultfanfiction.net and fanfiction.net. There's quite a bit of sensual fiction to be found there based on various fandoms--television shows, books, anime, etc. Fanfiction.net definitely does not have graphic banner ads, and AFF.net only shows suggestive banners.

Literotica.com is the only site I know of for straight up erotica. I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows of more.

storiesonline.net is really good. You do need to sign up. And the free account limits how many stories you can hit in one day (16, I think). I feel that the quality of stories as a whole is much better than literotica. Maybe because there is less traffic, so less crap to wade through to find the good authors.

Or, try the grandaddy of erotics sites, asstr.org. Archive of alt.sex.stories newsgroup.
