I'm 5'2" and usually tend to be attracted to guys over 6'. The shortest guy I've ever been with was 5'8" and he seemed really short to me. :crazy:

Being tall is a great thing in a woman, but not absolutely necessary. I'm around 6'10", being with a girl who was around 5'3" (maybe an inch or two taller) didn't bother me.

Being teased a lot when I was younger (I heard green giant in elementary school more times than I'd like to recall :mad: ) has kept me away from guys shorter than myself. I'm not really tall but at 5'9" I sometimes feel like a giant when I'm around my friends who are shorter than me.

My best friend is like 6'0" and has always dated guys shorter than her, they don't seem to mind and neither does she. But she, unlike me is very slender and I think that adds to the comfort level. I would say for me its not a need to feel sheltered but more of a desire to feel feminine and thats not easy when your stature overall is larger than most guys.

Now to the other extreme, my roomie is 5'5" avg height for a lady and yet she wont date a guy shorter than her. In fact no matter how cute they are if she determines them too short shes immediately turned off. She wants to be able to wear her 3-4 inch heels and still have the guy taller.

To each his/her own I guess.

I'm 5'5" and have only been with guys taller than me. Frankly, I don't even meet that many guys who are shorter than me, so it's never been a consideration. I think I'd feel a little odd dating a guy who was my height or shorter, especially since I'm chunky, and I like being around a guy who will make me feel smaller =P

I don't know my b/f's height, but it's only a couple inches taller than me. After work when he's got his shoes off but I haven't gotten around to taking my heels off, he'll complain about me being taller =P

I don't consciously rule out guys shorter than me (5'8"), but I am attracted to guys 6'+. It just works out that way. But to be fair, I do know a seriously sexy guy is is shorter than me, like 5'4", maybe. He's getting married to my 4"11" friend. :D

I'm 6'1" and the women I've dated have been around 5'4" give or take. Height is not really a factor in who I choose to date, overall looks, but even more importantly personality, rank higher than height.

One of my friends (6'8" like me) went with his girlfriend (5'0") to visit her family in Ecuador. People swarmed him asking for his autograph because they assumed he was a pro athlete.

I'm 5'10''. My ex was about a half-inch shorter than me and it bugged me no end. Spooning didn't work, he couldn't get his arm over my shoulders, and I had to reach to kiss him during missionary (there's an offset in height then). My husband is an inch and a half taller than me and it makes all the difference in the world. I'm sorry, I know I'm picky, but there you go. I used to tease my roommate in college because I got the only tall, handsome guy in the whole school!

I am 5'11" and I've always found taller women hot but have never been with one that was taller than me. I have, however dated women who were either as tall or just slightly shorter than me.

My wife is about 5'8" or 5'7" and she is, as Goldilocks might say, just right. I don't have to reach too far to kiss her and I can attest that when we spoon she fits perfectly.
