I started to read a really interesting thread when I realized it was the Ladies Lounge. I backed out slowly, but the question was interesting.

Do you keep count of your sexual partners?

I never really thought about it until today. It'd be nice if I could say I could count them on one hand, but it'd be a really weird looking hand with a lot of fingers. Thinking back on my past, I remember names and faces and experiences. Um... 30ish? Jeez....

it's not a matter of trying to keep count, its just such a small number that it's not really hard to remember.

Same. I've had three. They've all been interesting experiences....and I consider every new partner something special, so i guess i try to remember it.

Willravel, you can count them on the fingers of one hand, just use binary :)

I am in a similar boat, just probably older and have seen & done more.

I know how many (roughly) but I wont say, I've been in love, I've had one night stands, I've seen escorts, hell I even fell in love with an escort more than once.

I guess some people would call me a slut, maybe they'd be right, but I'm not a bad person, I care about people and respect them.

For me its about respecting others, sex if its safe and fun isn't something to judge someone about.

I tried to, and still try to, just coz its something for me to know. I'm either at 6 or 7 but I can't remember if I actually did fuck this one girl, or basically anything that happened after about 10pm.

I had a contest with an old friend when we were in college. who could have the most sex with different women in a year.(This was back AFTER the basic STDs, and before the AIDS scare) And thinking back I am DAMN lucky I didn't catch anything, but lets just say that even in binary, I think I would have to count on two hands. Not something I am proud of considering how stupid and risky it was, but just a general fact. Yea, I was a male slut. But I CAN say that since my college days, I can count the number of partners on both hands, using non-binary counting.

When I was younger, and thought of conquest I did indeed keep a running tally. Though I am certainly not proud of who I was at the time, it was pretty easy to update the count in my mind when I read this thread, if only because the attitude change has slowed my stupidity and created respect.

Funny aside: my wife and I had a dinner conversation one time where we tried to remember all the people that each of us had dated, just to see who had dated more. I thought that I had remembered all of them, until she pointed out that I had forgotten to include the girl to whom I'd lost my virginity. :eek:

Well, mine is a bit wierd.

I can count partners on one hand, but I was counting total times with all partners for a while.

I was told I was strange so I stopped counting, since I told someone it was 658. ;-) I got so much crap about it I stopped all together LOL.

I am in the 1 camp. And I don't mean that as in only one. One with whom I'm still with and very happy.

I know my number is between 15 and 20, as I said earlier in the thread...does not spending the time to try to relive the past, or every really caring what my 'number' was make me more of a slut than someone who knows their number is 23?

Also, since you surely wouldn't call a group you yourself fall into 'sluts and whores', why didn't you contribute your 'number' (which you've surely been carefully documenting, in the column right next to 'girls who have hugged me', 'nipples licked' and 'vaginas seen')

I'm always amused by the stigma our society attaches to enjoyment of sexual activity, even among the more "enlightened" individuals.

It's been enough, and with 3 good girlfriends, that I'm very comfortable with the relatively low number that I have.

I don't think I'm "keeping track" so much as it's not difficult to remember the number and the women because it's relatively low (cannot be counted on one hand, but relatively low).

My number is easy to remember-- 2 :P

Is it me or is there an amusing coincidence between some of these numbers and the Ladder Theory thread? For me there is some complication between the number of sexual partners including or not including non-penetration sexual encounters. I believe that I am in the low double digits in terms of intercourse, and who knows how many random blow/handjobs along the way. 3 relationships over a couple of years each holds down the number. In some ways I believe that I would like my current partner to be my last.

I could probably have had more than one, but I see time/money/energy spent on partners that dont have what it takes to make the "final cut" as wasted effort. I've been dating one girl for the last 4.5 years
