Sorry if this is a really blonde question, but it's been cropping up a lot in my fantasy life, so I've started thinking about trying it out for real.

Can occasional fisting cause lasting damage? How about short-term injury? Frequent practice?

I'd just worry (for you) that no guy can measure up to a fist after you do it.

Although I am a man, I do happen to know more than a few things about female anatomy. Most women deliver babies with no lasting injuries, except for possibly a few stretch marks, although there are exceptions. For the most part, the vagina can handle the smallest and biggest penis, and A fist from time to time, with remarkable resilience. It all depends upon the woman, her elasticity, and sexual preference. I'm sure that gops of lubricant can help resolve any frictional problems that may arise along the way. All things are subjective though..........

My doctor had his arm up to the elbow in side me to flip my daughter over when she was born. it was exceptionally unpleasant, but that, combined with childbirth left no damage to my vagina, and I'm just as tight now as I was before my daughter was born (do your kegels!)

There shouldn't be any reason that you should not be able to try it out once or twice without any negative after affects

Yes damage can occur, but then again, it can with the proper precautions cause no problems. Akin to anal, there are problems that can happen if you don't follow some safe practices.

That just isn't true. The vagina is an amazing thing. You would be suprised what it can handle.

Lube is important. However we are finding that the more we do it, the more my wife enjoys it and natural lubrication is all we require these days. This is for regular intercourse as well as dildos.

No haha. That is a very valid point. Not only are the nails to be trimmed, it is important that they be clean. Jewelry such as rings should be removed as well. This is something done for her pleasure IMHO, not because one saw it in a porno. You don't want to cause injury or infection.
