How do you guys and girls feel about thongs on the beach? I know in resorts in Mexico and Jamaica and even places like Miami beach, thongs and going topless are popular. But, what do you think about it on your normal average beach here in the states? I've asked my wife to wear one on the beach the next time we go. She finally said yes, after a few years of asking/begging. She is 33 and has had 2 kids. I think she looks damn good for her age/kids. She is a little hesitant and first said only if we can get somewhere where nobody will be around. And if someone got close, she would cover up. That was with wearing a semi see thru wicked weasel.
But recently she ordered a triangle back thong from malibustring. Its not see thru and has a tad more coverage in front and the triangle patch in the back. She told me today that she feels very comfortable in this suit. She even told me that she didn't mind if people got a little close. That made me feel good. I'm really glad she feels confident in herself.

I really enjoy my wife looking sexy, at the beach and everyday when we don't have the kids around. I enjoy her getting attention. I like her wearing skirts and tops that show cleavage. Does anyone else feel this way about their wives? How would you feel at the beach? I don't want to get there and her feel awkward. Honestly, If I were at the beach and saw an avg or even slightly overweight person in a thong, it wouldn't bother me. I'm in the category to each their own. If you want to do it, go with it.

I feel perfectly fine with thongs on the beach. I wouldn't wear one myself, but it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if someone else did.

Thongs on men = bad
Thongs on women = good
Thongs on beautiful, healthy women = even better

Is it normal to get a little exited when your other dresses up for you? For some reason it is a huge turn on for me. Something about others taking a peek at her gets me going. She always, when we are without the kids, dresses kinda sexy . Sometimes she is not in the mood, but when she is in the mood, she really likes it. I like it all the time. Sometimes she feels comfortable wearing her shortest skirts, and other times she wants to cover up. Are all or most women like this? If you are with your husband, do you like getting a little attention? Just trying to figure this out!!

I would love it if my wife even wore a bikini on the beach. She has a terrific body and has nothing to be ashamed about at all. Alas, she is much to shy and will only wear a standard 1 piece. sigh......

Some guys like this and some absolutely, positively HATE it. I couldn't really say why. Jealousy, insecurity, maybe...although it probably isn't that simple.

I'd say that the fact that your wife likes to dress sexy and you like for her to, as well, is a fortunate happenstance for you both. :)

it gets really boring when you're lady shows a lot though, kinda a grass is greener thing.

Sorry to say this, but why do people always feel that if you are willing to show off your body that means you are confident? I don't think there is anything bad about your wife wearing a thong, don't get me wrong.

The reason I'm saying this is because my boyfriend is always trying to get me to wear sexy things in public. The first reason why I don't is because I am a teacher and I would die if one of my students ran in to me wearing something slutty. The second reason is that it is just not my style. I don't like wearing clothes that let things fall all over the place. I like looking classy.

This bugs me because he just assumes that I am not confident in myself because I don't wear short skirts and tops that show half my cleavage. I am perfectly happy with myself to be honest, but he doesn't seem to get that!

I concur. And on the flip side, I know tons of women who show off everything mama gave them at any opportunity, and they are extremely insecure people.

I think that women (even wives! :eek: ) should be able to determine what is appropriate and attractive to their own sensibilities, without pressure from others (even husbands! :eek: ).

I think sexy and slutty are entirely two different things. I took no offense on what anyone said. I love my wife dressing sexy. She can look sexy in jeans, skirts, or what ever fits her good. She is very confident in herself. She shows cleavage, but nothing "hangs out". I see women all the time that look very, very sexy, and slutty doesn't come to my mind.

Hmmm....it certainly doesn't bother me - frankly, i could care less what other people are wearing at the beach, within bounds. but i don't think i'd really dig it if my girl was wearing a thong on a public beach. i normally go to quieter, secluded beaches that tend to be family-oriented. not so much conservative, really - but not daytona, crazy-go-nuts party places. i like to relax on the beach, do some body-surfing, drink a few brews, stumble back to the crib and have some dinner. so a strong thong, wicked weasel type thing really isn't my style. i like a nice classy bikini, sure - but most of the time i find thongs to look a little tacky.

i don't know - i can imagine the looks i would exchange with my sister, my friends, my girlfriend...if a regular chick came rolling by in a thong.

then again, it doesn't take much suggestion for me to realize what a lady is packing. i think there are ways to accentuate sexuality without necessarily baring skin to heavy extents. i'm much more interested in a suggestion of a well formed body and a crook of the eyebrows that invites me to take her somewhere a little more private. and while i don't care if other guys are checking my girl out or flirting with her, i don't really get off on it either. i usually just find it sort of amusing.

I would so love my wife to, but she never will. I am okay with it, but being more north, it is hard to find places that it would be acceptable.

I found the first woman who would wear a bikini to church and I married her. affront to god, my butt.

While the idea of seeing my gf out there in a tiny thong turns me on... I don't think I'd feel the same way in real life when I would have to deal w/ guys coming onto her.

Idk... I can go either way on this one. Sometimes it bothers me when she wears something a bit more skimpy out to parties, since then I have to deal with all the drunk guys. I think I should be a bit more laid back about this...

My husband would have a heart attack if I tried to wear a thong in public. Not that I would ever feel comfortable doing it (I don't even like thongs as underwear, much less outerwear!). But he always comments on my cleavage when he thinks I'm showing too much. I don't really understand it, but I generally respect his wishes, especially since they coincide with mine usually... I'm usually covered neck to knees.

Not that I'm particularly conservative, I just feel more comfortable when I'm covered. It's like someone else said... I give off the suggestion of having a body, without actually proving it to anyone. :lol:

It could have something to do with the fact that I work in a law firm so my idea of "appropriate" attire is conservatively skewed.

Personally I think a person should be able to wear whatever they want to the beach. You can STILL wear thongs at most beaches in Florida. Only a few places actually outlaw thongs.(Daytona Beach being one of them) I see them all the time down here in Florida. (yes, we ARE actually a state, not a vacation country....lol)

Didn't mean to lump Miami in with foreign countries. It was just the only place I thought of in the states of the top of my head. I'm glad a few others share my feelings about the thong. In all honestly, I don't want my wife to feel uncomfortable. I'm not worried about guys hitting on her either. At the same time I wouldn't want anyone around to be offended. Thats why this first time out we are going to find a semi secluded area where there are very few people.

Thongs are fine. Naked is fine, too.

I have no problem with it - This may sound a bit selfish but I enjoy a fully tanned behind and my girl doesn't mind showing off a bit as well.
