Question for the guys...
Whats your personal opinion on..arm hair? i have a couple friends who shave their arms to avoid guys judgment about their arm hair. And other friends who.. don't really give a flying fuck. I've also heard one guy, a friends boyfriend, say he hates arm hair, so she shaves her arms. I'd like a guys opinion.
So guys lets hear it, Arm Hair, repulsive? Just hair? Do you care at all? Does it freak you out when a girl has dark/long arm hair?

Basically, her arms shouldn't be as hairy as mine. I know that doesn't really help if you can't see my arm hair, but I probably have about average amount for a guy, I'm definitely no gorilla. Other than that, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

#2. I like light hair to none. If you grow shrubs, it's fine to do what you have to do to clean up. I mean, most women shave their legs. I see it is comparable.
I'd be a bit concerned if a woman could braid her jet black arm hair.... |

If it's beyond control, by all means, shave it
But like poloboy, if it's not that much compared to my own arms, I don't really care Maybe it's got a bit to do with the guy's own body-hair? If you're not used to it, your threshhold might be considerably lower...

for me, i also think it depends on the ethnicity, as much as i hate to say that. for instance, i know some women of hispanic or middle eastern origin that probably have more arm hair than your average european, but it still works for them. they've got darker skin and a different vibe going - they're still hot. it also matters how they feel about it and how they carry themselves.
that said, of two women who looked very similar, i'd probably take the one without the arm hair. if its super long, curly, bushy - then yes, she should probably look into some maintenance - just like any other part of one's body that's out of control. or she canfind someone with a fetish.

I remember a young lady that worked in a sub shop near where I used to live, she had very noticeable dark, thick arm hair. I'll have to admit, I didn't like the look. That was when I was in high school, I'm more mature now, so it may not bother me as much, but if its that noticeable, I don't know...
I voted #2.

I really don't mind it at all. As long as its neat and she doesn't shed everywhere, I can't see it becoming a problem for me.
Women are way too self-conscious as it is. I'm not going to encourage it by being fussy.

I've only known 1 woman who had arm hair long enough to turn me off. That is 1 in probably millions of women I've at least checked out so far. So yes, light is my answer but it is nothing to be self conscious about for the VAST majority of women.

It's just hair.
Hairy arms, no problem. Just so long as she doesn't wrap them round someone else, I don't care if they're fuzzy.

I've seen a couple of Turkish girls with arm hair almost as dense as mine, and I'm a Slavic male. That says a lot. It was very unsightly. Minimal light to no hair at all. Otherweise it's...gross.

This is a good thread, I know alot of women that are self consious about this issue. This is not a big issue for me, I wondered about it when I was younger though. Nice to see that men aren't too picky.

I hadn't given this subject any thought at all before this post. "Do ladies really have arm hair?", I wondered. "Wait, I'm the man who wouldn't notice if his wife died her hair green."
So I imagined a worst case scenario where I'm making out with a girl, but my watch keeps getting caught in her arm hair. Her thick, black, matted arm hair. "No sir, I don't care for this one bit! Get some scissors, baby. Daddy needs his watch back." I voted number two. Quote:

A little bit on the arms is fine, heck a lot of the times you can tell ones heritage by the arm hair/skin tone combo.
As long as it isnt out of control, I've never had a problem. Now facial hair... thats when I have issues with hair on women. Anything beyond a light peach fuzz is just creepy.

I shave my arms, so why not?
Hairless > Hairy anywhere for me, minus scalp. Just me . I don't really care, just a preference. And yea, I like upper lip shaved too if it's a prob. EDIT: I shave my upper arms, so maybe it's less applicable? I still prefer hairless anywhere. |

Objectively, I prefer none at all but light to moderate is alright. Subjectively, if I like the girl I couldn't care less.
I've heard women on the board say that they like hard, strong men because they themselves are soft. Likewise, I like "hairless" women because I'm damned hairy! |

I like it if it's "feminine". Coarse dark hair would not be pleasant, but softer lighter hair (or even darker) is fine. Shaved arms are a bit odd. Very few people naturally have no arm hair.

I voted #2, just because all the women I've ever been with have light/non noticeable hair. It's just a preference thing. Unless the hair is long and coarse, I guess it wouldn't be a big deal.
But, I prefer the taco to be hairless!! |

As a guy I trim mine.
I am not a big fan of the long dangly armpit hair that peeks out the sleeve of a t-shirt. Shaved is nice, and I could probably be fine with trimmed too. Besides, body hair in general holds those oils which cause such a nice aroma. Would you rather be a yak or a hairless wrinkly kitty?
