you know, like answering the question "do you think roe v wade will be overturned if roberts is confirmed" with "i oppose abortion".

If that's directed at me (I assume since I used the word in question), it's misplaced. Not only have I repeatedly answered the inital question (Roe v Wade being overturned with a Roberts confirmation), but I don't oppose abortion. Its an issue I'm fairly ambivalent towards-I think it's bad for society, and in a backhanded way discriminates against men, but I'm also a big supporter of population control, which abortion helps accomplish.

I'm not accusing you of anything just using the semantics argument again...

I'm anti-genocide, I'm mildly pro-AIDS. AIDS can be easily prevented (unlike things like cancer, alzheimers, etc.). Except for rare instances, I see AIDS deaths as Darwinian triumphs (those instances being contraction of HIV from blood transfusions).

If I did, you wouldn't know

Then, you must also see as Darwinian triumphs, deaths from cigarette smoking, drug abuse (including alcohol), wreckless or drunk driving, suicide, fraternity hazing, and fatal roller derby accidents.

What about children born with HIV? Are their deaths also Darwinian triumphs?

Yes to all of the above.

That's a bit tougher. It's obvious that Darwin was not totally triumphant, as the parent(s) was(were) able to reproduce before the AIDS got them (their sucessful conception possibly contributing to one parent having AIDS). However, more than likely it will retroactively give Darwin his victory (much like abortion).

I don't think it will be overturned-

Roberts is just as right-wing conservative as Rehnquist.

I think your right. I seperation between church and state is fair. I just think it's strange that we pray before everything that is government sanctioned and claim the seperation. Such and innagural address or baseball games or congressional session (okay last one a stab in the dark not founded on any fact whatsoever) If a child is offended by praying then don't pray. the people who do pray are not offended by your lack of prayer.

Baseball games aren't government sanctioned, and I also don't remember prayer being required before them.
