She's in a vegitative state, she isn't going to recover, and she's lying there like a vegatable. No human being should live like that. The family should "pull the plug" and get it over with. It's downright crude that anyone should be kept alive in that state.
I can't tell you I'd pull the plug on myself, simply because I'm not like that. I probably woulden't even know the difference if I was in that state. However, my best friends dad just passed away about 3 weeks ago, and his dad told the family he didn't want anymore treatments, and he wanted to pass away at home. He didn't want to live in pain, and suffer from his cancer anymore. His wishes came true passing away with his family with him, in his own home. I would certinaly hope people would have enough dignity and quit thinking of themselves long enough to allow Shiavo to rest in peace. Because in that state, all I could ask for is to pass away with my family right there with me, supporting me, and loving and caring for me. |
