Having taken a class involving the science of polling statistics, and multiple classes which incorporate the questions raised when dealing with compiling statistical data like this, I can assure you I'm *quite* confident that an institution such as the University of Connecticut knew exactly what they were doing with this. 112,000 students is more than enough to compile an accurate sample. I'm sorry you feel so left out.
