Barkley for Governor
Charles Barkley was on the ESPN show "Pardon the Interruption" on Tuesday, and he said the following: "I voted for John Kerry, and if Kerry loses, then I'm running for Governor of Alabama." Tony Kornheiser pressed him about this during the next commercial break, and said that Barkley was completely serious.
Kerry's out, so I guess that means that the Round Mound of Rebound will run for governor in 2006. Sir Charles is a pretty volatile guy, so do you think that he can win in a state that went so solidly for Bush? |

Supposedly you have to live there for seven years before you can run for governor. Now, Mike Wilbon said on today's show that he has a house in Alabama, but that could be a question.

Charles has been saying he is going to run for Governor since he was playing in Phoenix. I love the guy, but I don't think it's happening.
