I'm not too sure about that daswig. Do you have evidence, such as a link, that shows it is possible to buy nuclear weapons?

Well, since you would have to get start with a liscence to own nuclear material, that should nix owning one right there, since I doubt they would issue one because you "want it".
Anyway, to the point, the candidate's stances on gun control are not the only issue to me, but are still very important. Mao said it best, power comes from the barrel of a gun and Kerry has consistently voted to take our power away from us as a senator. I don't see him doing differently as a president.

Kerry's for the Brady Bill, which requires a 3-day waiting period for a background check before getting a firearm. Proponents argue "Why are they in such a hurry to get a gun?" But when you think about it, you don't have to wait 3 days to buy a car, and you can kill lots of people really quick in one of those. It's really just another way to get less people to like guns, if it's inconvenient to buy one.

whocares, you can't just go out and BUY a nuke, but private corporations do indeed own them. They build them and refurbish them for the Government. There are also several nuclear power plants out there that are in private (deregulated power company) hands. For examples of this kind of thing, look at: http://www.brook.edu/fp/projects/nucwcost/sites.htm
Nuclear materials aren't that hard to come by in trace amounts, the main thing is expense. IIRC, you can buy tritium on the open market, and lots of people own trace amounts of it (for example, in watches and weapons sights) . For any kind of volume, there are serious regulations to go through, but it certainly can be done if you've got the resources for it. |

Check out these pictures and tell me that Kerry is pro-gun:
http://keepandbeararms.com/information/Item.asp?ID=3674 Unfortunately, I am a one-issue voter and always will be until we get two presidential candidates who support the 2nd Amendment as it is written. As others have said, the 2nd Amendment guarantees the rest.
