They were supposed to vote on new district lines. The dems didn't like the way the lines were drawn.

If you put them in prison you wouldn't have a quorum for the remainder of the legislative session (or however long they were in prinon). This can't be good for the state of Texas either.

They did however arrest one and force her to go to work, the others they couldn't arrest because they were in Oklhaoma.

What....have you never heard of states like Alabama and Mississippi? Predominately black and they go democrat almost all the time. Most blacks involved in exit poling lean democratic. What about Jesse Jackson, I don't think he voted for Bush.
