Plus I believe that no matter how long a doctor works isn't it always a practice since things can always change and be improved? I could be wrong but that's the impression I'm under.

Why spend money on cosmetic surgeory for soldiers that they do not need? How about spending the money on something forthwile?
|
it's not a matter if they need it or not. it's a matter that the doctors need to have so much time doing the procedures per year that they offer it up to the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines because that's who they have available. it's more for the dr's benefit than the individuals. plus the amount they do over a year is comparable to a small time civilian practice that's doing moderate business with 1 doctor (or something to that effect according to the article i posted earlier)

Phenomenon, the doctors are paid per year, not per surgery.
The doctors will be there to fulfil their contracts. The hospital will be there and will cost money for upkeep. Why not have them be active with surgery? It only makes them better when a soldier needs it. The cost of the surgery is very little when you factor in those things. |
they are really desperate for recruits
