Ok, we know that fear of throwing the election off prevents many people from voting third-party. What I want to know is, If your vote was the only one that would count in the election, which pair of candidates would you appoint to the office of U.S. President?

If you don't see your choice here, don't compromise and vote for someone else, let us know who you want to see in office and I'll add your candidates to the poll.

I would choose the same ticket that I plan to vote for, and put the Libertarian party in office.

I don't think that I've been bashful as to the fact that I believe very strongly in Libertarian principle.
For me...it's no contest. Badnarik gets the Oval Office.

I'd put a libertarian guy in there, honestly, because i'd like to see what they could do, and I think that it would be a nice change.
And I agree with most of what they believe, yada yada.

I would go with the socialist party. They have a libertarian view on most social issues but an inverse view on economics compared to most libertarians.

Well I hate Bush but I am pro-free market and I want a president who will take the defense of my country seriously (among other things).
Everyone else here is too far to the left for my liking. Kerry is basically a socialist. So...I'd vote for Bush.

However...if I could pick two other politicians I liked and elect them instead, I would do so. Rudy Giuliani sounds good to me

I really don't know enough about the green or librertarian party to go that way, and I'm conservitive on most issues so I'd have to say the Republicans

FYI, the Greens picked Cobb/LaMarche at their convention.

Nader is running as an Independent/Reform.

I have a great deal of confidence in the President, I think he's a good, solid, honest person, and I will be voting to reelect him. This is a vote for the President and a vote for realism - and it is a vote against media influence in our political process and delusional thinking. Also, I will always oppose Libertarianism, as I see it as simple me-ism - with no pragmatic component at all.

I have to admit that i used to be a proponent for the Libertarians, but as i really sat down adn thought about it, i dont htink they would make a good party for the country. It is very idealistic without the realistic component and i don't think it would work very well in practice....

I also cannot have bush in office anymore as i think he has done too much damage...

I didn't think a socialist was on the ballot, but is 'brown' "Harry brown" that used to be libertarian?

All in all, i'd still put kerry/edwards in office.

Actually, fuckit, i'd honestly put Jesse Ventura in office if i could.

We'll get to them in 2008. For now, it's this year's candidates. I put Nader as Green because that's what the other poll said, and it's been fixed now.

No, the "Brown" in question is actually Walt Brown.
