Tilted politics has turned me away from political discussion almost entirely....It is definitely an exercise in futility to try and convince a partisan to change their mind. When people are so willing ignore uncomfortable facts contrary to their position and support their own arguments with flimsy data (yours truly, at times) it is impossible to break any impasse in reasoning.

I rarely listen, talk about, speak about politics these days though I do read constantly.

I found an interesting article/blog post about Partisans defending their positions receiving reward from their brains similar to that received by drug addicts from their drugs.
