California Dream Act
California has approved their Dream Act - now undocumented migrants are eligible to receive private scholarships for public universities.
How do you think this will impact education in California? Will more graduate high school because they might afford college? Will competition for private scholarships become more fierce? Don't they have a lot bigger problems in CA than this?
How many immigrants will really be impacted by this? Maybe I should have 'illegally' immigrated to CA, lived out of my tent and car at the beach for a few years, and then gone to college in CA. |

IIRC, the act doesn't do much. It just permits illegal aliens to receive private scholarship funding.
Was there ever a prohibition against illegals receiving private scholarships? There's no track to becoming a citizen, which is one of the big points of the original federal DREAM act.
