Where are the WMD?

The original purpose of this war was to disarm Saddam Hussein and to destroy the weapons of mass destruction that he possessed. The Bush administration has sought to change the purpose of this war to liberation of the Iraqi people and regime change. Is this because the original reasons for going to war were manufactured? Its too early to tell, but if so, how can this war ever be considered a success if it was built completely upon false accusations?

This is the thread where people will tell you that there are several reasons for the war, they will tell you that wmd will be found, they will tell you that the name of the operation is Iraqi Freedom and they will tell you not to dwell in the past.

Funny, where was the patience for the inspectors? Now, Bush has the nerve to say we need unlimited time to find the weapons and that we may not find them at all without Iraqi cooperation.

Blix had his own agendas, why on the last day he reported to the UN did he fail to mention the chemical spraying drone?

I read that article before I posted mine. It's full of nothing but further speculation. As the division commander says at the end, "work must still be done to validate the information." I just posted some more of my thoughts on it in that thread.

The drone in question was in fact a balsawood and duct tape plane. Not nearly the highly technological weapon that the US threatened.

Ask the Russians, I'm positive they know.
While at it, check India, Pakistan, syria, and Saudi's too..

This kind of thinking is what screwed Iraq. It's like you KNOW they're there and it's just a matter of time. Maybe they'll show up, maybe the wont, but does it really matter anymore? The US already blew up another 3rd world country, who cares if the proof shows up now?

Iraq says it doesn't have any WMD which means they must be lying therefore the US is justified in invading. Iraq says it does have WMD then the US is justified in invading. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Does it really matter anymore? It was all about liberating the Iraqi people, right?

Iraq said a lot of things. Like, for example "We have a bunch of anthrax and shit, sorry..hahaha, no really, fuck you guys." This of course is the stuff we knew they had, they said they had, and never proved they didn't destroy a few months ago. That's why 1441 is worded like it is, see? The reason they had to prove they didn't have that stuff is because we knew they previously did have it. They didn't, the UN pussed out, we didn't. We do know they have this crap, the Iraqi regime doesn't matter any more, and the Iraqi people are liberated as a result.

Hans Blix, the leader of the UN weapons inspector. Tons of VX was missing, along with a lot of Anthrax and various other things.

It's simple. Iraq had WMDs, destroyed some of it (and proved it), and claims it destroyed the rest too (without any proof). The UN didn't believe Saddam. That was the reason for this whole resolution 1441 thing.

Syria, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the US, UK, Israel, Palestine, Lybia, Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, N. Korea, Egypt, Turkey, you get the idea ... everywhere but Iraq. If Saddam had any more than 3 brain cells, he would have been running the only country in the world without WMD's. He threw them out to his buddies in Syria and Iran, and they'll be able to hand them back when Iraqi officials reform into a terrorist cell.
