NSC aide bashes Bush and switches sides

I hadn't seen this one posted yet, and thought it was kind of interesting:

Quote: "'Counterterrorism is like a team sport. The game is deadly. There has to be offense and defense,' Beers said. 'The Bush administration is primarily offense, and not into teamwork.'"

Sounds to me like he's had a few too many of his namesake.

Yes, way to understand a man who's worked for the NSC for as long as you've been alive, who has access to information you never will. He must just be a drinker.

Pity you didn't read further...

"Randy's your model government worker," said Wendy Chamberlin, a U.S. Agency for International Development administrator for Iraq, who worked with Beers on counterterrorism on the NSC of the first Bush administration. "He works for the common good of the American people. He's fair, balanced, honest. No one ever gets hurt feelings hearing the truth from Randy."

C'mon Kadath, you know that honourable men are just as easy to slander as anyone else these days. Some folks are even accused of slander and then slandered as treasonous.

The biggest irony though, will be if Oliver North fires a few shots at him from his desk at Fox News.

Do you have a problem with Col. Oliver North, Macheath?

He was a very honorable Marine Officer, who followed orders and then let the buck stop with him. A lot of people should be so honorable.

Back to the thread,
So an upper level NSC offiical quits and joins a losing cause, big deal.
He had his opinion on the way things should be done, and it did not gel with the white house.
So he is now out of a job and the powers that be are still there.

You go little dutchboy, plug that dyke!

Holy shit, you just defended Oliver North. I didn't know people still did that with a straight face. Well, God, Country, Corps, Code, or whatever.
You go little dutch boy, stand up for something you believe in without regard for what it might mean for your political future! Good to see integrity isn't utterly dead in Washington.
