Hillary

Hey, newbie to the board...but I was just wondering how the Democrats here would react if Hillary ran as the veep on one of the Dem's Tickets? If this were to happen, what candidate do you think would do it/have the best chance to convince her? And finally, how'd you feel if Bill were appointed to some position in a future administration, like say H&H or HUD? Thanks

As a republican, I'd laugh at her and her running mate. Then, I'd sit back and watch her lose, and laugh some more.

If was the President with her as my VP I would fear for my life every single day. If Whitewater people can "just" die, you never know.

as a liberal democrat/libertarian aka yellowdog, i'd definately support her

she's a staunch supporter of women's rights and we have slight differences on govt programs.

but yes, i'd vote for her. i think that she can do a better job than gwb.

and i dont think she would put him in an official position, there is no way. bill might be on the whitehouse staff, but that's how far it'll go.

she's got 5 more yrs to work on this and i think she'll do great.

finally, we'll have a women president - as some of you despise.

She clearly has a shot in '08. It would be the worst thing that has ever happened to the nation.

Loser

I'm getting the jollies thinking at the conservatives foaming at the mouth.

You know it's funny, with the Clintons
the Right is so irrational...vicious

And with GW
the Left is so irrational...flustered

It's amazing how certain people bring out the extremes in us.

Well I just find it funny that all the conservatives say things such as "Yeah, put her on the ticket, I'd love to see her lose". Ahem, Rick Lazio? Need I say more?

I am a staunch conservative (although i eschew the label and generally think of myself as normal) and if hillary wanted to run for prez, vice prez, or dog catcher, I don't care. Let her run. she doesn't bother me. I don't think she could win, because she won't allow herself to be given the complete, albeit figurative, anal exam that candidates have to go thru for the top spot. that is her biggest weakness, she won't stop hiding from the truth, even when the truth isn't that bad. I think she'd freak if she was really put under the hammer of a national campaign. I'd love to have a woman president. I think condi rice would be great.

Dubya managed to avoid a lot of questions about his past simply by saying 'no comment'. No comment = no story. Many politicians have sat up and taken notice (including Hillary).

I think if Hillary were Vice president or President we would have a run on Civil War- Era Revolvers. There just aren't enough benches in Dupont Circle, either.
