Bunch of shots I've taken recently
Check em out, tell me what you think:
sunset-ish shot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...bucketpalm.jpg my dog trying to catch the splashes: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ketsplash2.jpg stump and flowers: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...cketstump2.jpg tiny g-hopper: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ckethopper.jpg Another person trying the water drop?!? Actually, milk this time: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...CKETdance3.jpg some shots I took at the airport: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ketdevour2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...cketplane4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ketdevour1.jpg And a little mishap: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tdisaster3.jpg |
Every single one of them a great shot Shpoop. Its hard to pick a favorite, but that grasshopper picture is so different from most of the macros I see that that one might fall under my favorite. That last one is hillarious.

Great eye for composition as usual Shpoop, and for being there when you need to be. Always a pleasure to open one of your threads.

nice shots, great composition.
surprised you were able to get the airport shots without any flack! |
Beautiful shots, though I'm afraid I'm just not a fan of pictures with barbed wire fences in them. Reminds me too much of where I work. I like the rest unreservedly however. Animals chasing things is always good for a grin, and the shots of the planes landing and taking off really struck a chord.

thanks for the great responses. I actually forgot a few:
blood orange: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...bucketraw2.jpg "Don't feed the birds": http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...bucketoff1.jpg "Grounded": http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ucket3copy.jpg that last one most people say 'hey, not bad' or 'that's nice,' but for some reason it might be one of my favorites i've ever taken. maybe it just means more to me than it does to most people. |
right on.........ALL of these are deadly Shpoop......i really like the toothbrush in the pisser shot....nicely done

Nice.
Good to see people also looking at other colours in a sunset besides the obvious red/orange highlights. I'm wondering what it would have been like with a tripod. What macro lens are you using with the G/hopper and milk drop? The second airport shot is great, you can use an image like that in any travel/airline brochure. Submit it to a stock agent? What did you use to light up the blood orange? The final shot: Maybe crop to exclude the table clutter on the left and the lampshade on the right? I did find they distracted me from the 'story' portraed by the dog looking out of the window. Top notch. |
Thanks for the interest. First off, I did have a tripod on the sunset one, it was just windy.
No macro for the milk, just the stock 300D lens...I'm dyingn for a macro. For the g-hopper, I had to use my old olympus c-740 because it has really good macro for a small camera. Blood Orange was lit up with a flashlight...wish I had something more advanced where I could have eliminated the bright spot right under it, but oh well. I kinda like the clutter on the left and right...give it a bit of personality and personability. Oh well, I'll try out your suggestion too. And where could I submit something to a stock agent? Thanks again |
There should be loads of agents out there.
With having already scanned or recorded in digital, you'll probably want to look for online stock photo sites that accept submissions. |
I agree with the personailty the clutter adds, but for me the real subject was the dog.
Most of them come from the typical "man's best friend theme" What is he looking at? Is his master coming home? Is this what the dog does all day when alone? When I looked at it, I thought of the above and then wandered around the photo saying "oooh, what car is that model? Are those Mardi Gras beads on the lampshade?" etc) Were the photo for your album/wall then keep them. They reflect a part of your life and your personal space. But if you wanted to cause the pic to ask some of the questions I started with, then it's better not to have them. It's all about the end purpose of the image. |
Great shots, Shpoop. You've really come a long ways since you first started posting your photos. Liked em' all.
