Under the Tuscan Sun..... (not modem friendly)
We went to Italy last summer and I wanted to share these pics with the TFP gang. They are in basically chronological order. We flew to Rome spent three days sightseeing and then drove to a villa in the Tuscan countryside. We stayed there with 14 other people (all friends of my sister). We day tripped to Florence, Pisa, Montelcino, and Siena. I've been to all 50 US states and 8 foreign countries and this was the best vacation ever. Enjoy.
Our hotel in Rome...  The oldest continuously occupied building in the world. Almost 2,000 years. The Panteon....  The Vatican. Note the proportion and scale. It looks like a two story building, but look at the size of the people at the foot of the columns. The top of the dome is 33 stories. Amazing.....  The Pieta, inside the Vatican. Carved by Leonardo Da Vinci......  My beautiful bride and I at a sidewalk cafe about two blocks from the Vatican....  The famous Trevi fountain.....  Now to Tuscany. This is the villa where we stayed....  Another view....  And another...  The view of the Tuscan countryside from the back deck (we ate dinner here most nights)....  Florentine church....  My wife and daughters on a bridge over the river Arno with the Ponte Vecchio (the bridge of gold) in the background...  The view from the top of the tower of Pisa looking north toward the Italian Alps.....  The town of Pisa from the top of the tower...  What would a trip to Pisa be without one of these pictures....  The Montelcino region of olive trees and vineyards....  Siena streetscape....  Ice cream and wine in the central square of Siena...  More from Siena....  And finally, the resident cat at the villa.....

Those pics look great DDDave, but you might want to take out the ones your daughters are in, or crop them out. They look just a little young to be 18.

Beautiful pictures! But yeah, blur out the kids faces, wouldn't want to crop them too much, you'd lose the value of the pictures...
Love that one of them with the leaning tower of Pisa though!
