A coupla connected pics....umm, kinda
Here we have two big cows, who when led out of their pen,
http://img27.exs.cx/img27/8008/DSC_0044new80dpi.jpg like to walk down this beautiful trail, especially in the warm late summer sun. http://img27.exs.cx/img27/4375/DSC_0010new80dpi.jpg Occasionally,on their journey, they get to cross this, an Olde New England covered bridge. http://img27.exs.cx/img27/1087/DSC_0015new80dpi.jpg What a wonderful life, until of course, it's time to walk the other trail, the one that leads to the meat packing plant. Oh well....The End :D |
Nice photos, looks like you live amongst some beautiful scenery :)
I'm now wondering why those bridges are covered... |
I used to think that you were a sucess if you had a bar in your office that your company paid for the booze.
I now think that if you own your own covered bridge, you are there. Great pics. |
that bull to the left in the 1st pic looks like he's ganna charge man.
and the look on his face is awesome too. thanx joe..........great shots man.....hope the holiday was good. |
I like short stories... :) Oh, and nice shots.
|
Please Please Please take a picture of that covered bridge scenery when the leaves are all changing. I bet it would make such an amazing picture.
I want to visit this place. It looks like my idea of Heaven. |
Nice pics!
It looks like such a peaceful and serene area. I really like how the sunlight filters through the leaves on the 2nd picture. |
some real nice pics... do you have a farm or anything?
|
Great pictures! The second one really has that surreal, story book feel. Though, I still like the first one best. Those two big cows are interesting to look at.
|
Thanks for the kind words you guys. Welsh, I wish that scenery was closer to me, I'd be running around in it every day.
And as a matter of fact Averett, you live closer to this place than I (providing you're still in Albany). I can swing by and pick you up when the colors get just so. Grondar, remember when you're shooting in the sun like this, filters can be your friend. Ahh, I wish it were my farm, gump, but just a holiday as fly said. And yeah man, a real freakin good one. |
|
as always, mighty fine shots, mr. PJ.

Ditto. This is an excellent photograph sir. |
Very nice joe, I like em.
|
Lovely scenery. Would love to see more shots of that. Especially anything that's "Olde". Being in Texas, I can say I've seen enough of cows. But your pictures of them are still technically very nice.
|
I'm with Averett on the covered bridge and changing leaves. I've gotten to see that once in my life, I can only imagine how phenomenal it'll look in that place. Great shots and usual paddyjoe! :)

that reminds me of The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost |
Y'know Redjake, I was thinking of that same poem while out here that day. And actually, here's the shot I took that originally brought it to mind.
http://img52.exs.cx/img52/8131/DSC_0011new80dpi.jpg It was a nice peaceful kind o day. |
That last picture is awesome...
And yup, I'm still in Albany. Where did you take these pictures? Looks like a perfect weekend roadtrip :) |
sweet fork joe............likin' it big time.
you just got the eye don't you? |

Averett, this place is Old Sturbridge Village. Bout a mile and a half off the Mass. turnpike. It would be the perfect day trip from Albany. Prolly only 2 hours away. Little further for me in Rochester, but nice enough to go again for a weekend, that's for sure. Here, check out their site: http://www.osv.org/ Thanks fly. Guess the eye grows on you after a while. Need to shoot thousands of pics though. |
Thanks paddyjoe! That'll be on my list of places to go sometime soon :)
