The Used Book Store Experience
I've recently been trolling used bookstores while working on a possible photo book I'm calling "Trade This Book". Here are some photos I took at Blue Bicycle Books in downtown Charleston.
^This is as far back as you can go into the store. The whole place is just one long hallway with random rooms on the sides, like weigh stations on the interstate. The man at the very end is at the front. Oh, and there's a cat. ^Book Store Cat! ^The horribly tiny nerd section.

That's too neat for a used bookstore. You ain't seen a real used bookstore till you've visited J.W. Doul's in Halifax:
Every good used bookstore needs a good map to assist in browsing:

Books, cats, bikes...looks about right.
Used bookstores, ftw! It's a good thing that people realize the book is a perfect invention and that digital ebook readers are simply an alternative, right? Right?

Here are some more from Here Be Books in Summerville, SC. Unfortunately, we don't have uber-cool, quirky places like J.W. Doul's, but we do our best.
