What kind of lighting set up do you do to get the really great skin contrast in the B&W shots? (i.e. ISO, aperture, shutter, light source direction, type of light source, etc.)

I used to use a 50mm f/1.8 primarily for portraits, but there are a couple up there using an 18-200mm zoom. The last couple are using an 80-200mm f/2.8 lens.
IMHO, the 50mm works fairly well. Dollar for dollar, it's still the best lens I have. The 80-200mm is better, but it's a LOT more expensive. Camera is a Nikon D300. Last edited by fnaqzna; 06-16-2010 at 03:31 PM.. |
